Does Defense win Championships or not?

I don't understand what you don't understand about balance. I mean is there a block in your brain or something. If you look at the chart, there are clear indicators that you can't win with just 1 or the other, but somehow you can't understan that. Until the rockets improve their offensive effeciency, they will never win a title. How hard is that to understand?

 

Defensive players being undervalue, in Morey's job, means they are underpaid, and therefore are better bargains.

Player A is a good offensive player but poor defensive player.
Player B is a good defensive player but poor offensive player.
Assuming these two guys have identical impact to winning in Morey's advanced metrics.You can bet that Player A is paid more and is more sought after. So Player B is undervalued, but he is not more important to winning games than Player A.

If defense was underrated, the cliche "Defense wins championships" would not have existed.

 

Don't try, he will just post another video since he hasn't watched many of those old games.

 

Why is this so hard to understand? Russell won all his rings WITH HIS TEAMMATES, some of them were HOF OFFENSIVE players. They didn't win ONLY because of Russell's defense.
