Rockets under MDA have always played better after the allstar break.

add in the new additions that actually are not old and playable.

    the Answer is yes

we’re two games back with 24 to go.

I’d be surprised if we don’t get it.

I hope we’re 2 Denver or Utah is 3 and clips are 4 so the LA teams have to play each other in the second round.

if that happens rockets have a very strong path to the finals.

Step one he needs to see a back specialist about correcting his posture. Step two he needs to develop a jump shot.

I think OKC might even be in the mix for 4th or 5th.

very well could be Cp3 has done his damn thing for them. Okc is set up nice with all the picks they have coming. I don’t think cp3 gets traded because he’s old and his contract is bad but he’s still a great player but he’s a ticking time bomb for when he’ll fall off. Could be next year but he’s been great this season. Already played more games then he did in his two seasons here.

Remember that crazy playing behind Harden defense they tried last year ?! .... LoL.
The fact that they tried something so drastic tells you the kinda roll Harden was on ....

And this year teams have started doubling him at half court .... what's next ? A full court press ?

They didn't change personnel all that much , just Harden walking it up instead of running.

One thing for sure , this is a hell of a lot more fun to watch than that ISO ball **** .... even if it was highly efficient it was UgLy.

I still think Ferntits is a cheap bastage. I'll give him no credit for putting Morey in this situation where the best option was such a high risk one .... I really doubt they go this route if they had movable salary to go get a big piece.

The Bucks were fairly good at denying him one side.

Wubio stuck to JH's arse in the playoffs.

It's not unthinkable. The Rockets have a very good shot at 2nd or 3rd. I can't think of a more ideal scenario(well, aside from the #1 seed which ain't happening) than finishing 2nd, getting OKC or Dallas in Round 1 and Denver(or OKC or Dallas should there be an upset) in Round 2.

Meanwhile we'd see the Clippers and Jazz face off in Round 1 which guarantees one of them is out right away and the remaining team has to deal with the Lakers in Round 2.

That's a very friendly path to the WCF.

Rockets need some things to fall their way to get #2. There's a chance but I'd say less than 50%. 3 seed is more attainable, def a shot at that.

They need Denver to lose a few games. Thankfully the Nuggets still have 2 left with the Clippers, 2 with the Raptors, 1 with the Lakers, 1 with the Bucks, 2 with the Jazz, and 2 with OKC.

Unless Utah comes back to win their division, the Rockets have to make up 3 games on Denver over their final 26 which is not unthinkable.

Should not wait a couple of weeks or put a serious winning streak before singing praises into this experiment?

I think we all want to win and share similar doubts, endurance, sustainability, our 3pt shooting and the ability to keep all this going through a 7 game 2 week series.

And I also think any serious follower of this team knows inconsistency has always been the trademark. Let's be patient on both sides of the debate. Maybe we can all agree that we have become more fun and that some of us, me included, underrated Covington's effect on our defense before the trade.

Not having the tiebreaker with Denver may loom large, but we have a real chance to get in the 2/3 spot and bump LAC to the 4, which would be most ideal. That game on March 5th with the Clippers may be biggest of the season.

No doubt they can get the #2 seed next season, which everything is geared towards.

There are definitely concerns with consistency, but we have a large enough sample now with this team sans Capela(both before and after the trade) that it sure looks like his presence was a major hurdle for the Rockets. They'll continue to have issues with rebounding and rim protection, but barring injury, this level of play can be sustained the last third of the season.
