"the pastor of the largest religion in the world"?

It's not like he is the pope. There are probably more pastors in the world than high school kids in Australia.

You have never heard the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq be consider "Holy Wars" in any from by Christian religious nuts or religious right-winged evangelicals? But I know there are people that believe so because I grew up in a very Christian based town (Lake Jackson) and knew many people in High School joining the armed forces to fight against what they believed was "Islam" which were terrorists. Even some of President Bush's speeches have been religious based and seemingly was being presented as Freedom=Christianity.

Then I retract my first statement regarding me believing that what you wrote was the stupidest thing I've ever read.

I've been thinking of starting my own religion.

    I'll call it "Rimianity."

We'll pray in circles of 11 to Saint Earl.

Each sanctuary will have three aisles, narrowing at the front to converge on the "board" where the "Coach" rallies the congregation. At the beginning of every ceremony, three "Role Players" will run down each aisle throwing the ceremonial orb back and forth until the middle one drops it off to the trailing "Dream" who symbolically slams it hard into place.

We will have communion and it will consist of nachos and BBQ, since that's what my body is mostly made of.

We will drink Dr. Pepper and only Dr. Pepper because it is the nectar of rimrocker.

We will have no choir, but instead, a group of scantily dressed cheerleaders will get the congregation fired up.

Our kids will learn of that once great but now vanished tribe called "Oilers."

The holy colors will be red, yellow, baby blue, and orange.

Every day at 7:35 pm, congregants across the globe will be expected to give an imaginary high five in the direction of The Summit.

Heretics will only be called "Bud" and be banished forever to Utah.

Three times a year, we will gather editions of si and burn them in a great bonfire to symbolize the expurgation of evil and East Coast bias, which are the same thing.

Only "Trainers" will be allowed to baptize believers and they will do it by sticking ankles in a hot whirlpool metal tub while sipping Dr. Pepper and telling off-color jokes.

During the formal worship ceremony, the Coach will limit call and response so that the congregation is only expected to shout three responses: "Hit somebody!" "Unbeatable!" "Oh my!"

When praying to Saint Moses, we will gather in groups of 5 and repeatedly hop up and down with our arms extended upwards.

A Toy Cannon will be fired to mark the end of service.

This Koran burning event would have been better left unreported. A lot of times I don't understand what gets made into a story and whats considered a non-story. But I think media absolutely fanned the flames here.

Also part of it is Obama himself responds to everything now. In part cuz he's pressured to. If he doesn't respond, he's a wuss or he's hiding something (like the birth certificate situation). When he does respond, he should have other more important things to be focusing on, or he's doing it in socialist fashion.

Like its a big surprise certain Middle East groups would burn images in effigy in protest, big shocker there. In a region that shows beheadings of hostages unedited on TV. They were doing that stuff a hundred times over before any protest incident in the US. They'll do it afterward.

Even if it didn't get press in the mainstream media it would have blown up on the interwebs.
