I don't really follow college ball anymore and don't even know if this guy is a college player, but I saw him when I went to a chicken wing joint today. He's 6'9". He was on the phone talking and mentioned he wanted to or would probably play for the Rio Grande Vipers. He kind of looked like Ralph Sampson or Joe Barry Carroll. He also touched the neon sign in the background and shocked himself which made me think "Son of Stromile". He also mentioned something else on the phone I'll probably just keep to myself to protect him. lol. I was wearing my Rockets cap, but he didn't say anything. Probably just a scrub, but thought I'd share... :)

Not a very good pic, but :

Funny you should mention Hibbert. They were showing ESPN on the tv and he saw Hibbert get his shot blocked by Derrick Rose and said there should be no way some 6' dude should be blocking his shot like that.

You should really mention what he said on the phone that you didn't say in OP.

It would be really, really cool.

Is that not UH's own Marcus Cousin? He signed with the Rockets right at the end of the season.

Feigen: Reading between lines on the Rockets' long list of coaching candidates

    http://blogs.chron.com/nba/2011/04/reading_between_lines_on_the_r.html

Casey, Frank, Budenholzer... I agree with the list.

Nah I don't think that is Marcus Cousin. I seen him at UH and he looks different. I am pretty sure that is former New Jersey Net Sean Williams who just played this past season for the Texas Legends in the NBDL. Sean is from Houston and lives here in the offseason working out with John Lucas.

I'm not saying it isn't, but it sure didn't look like him. This guy also said he's 6'9" and Cousin is taller than that, from what I've read. Also, this pic is from the Dallas area (not that Cousin couldn't travel...). He was asking whoever he was talking to whether or not he wanted to work out later. Maybe you're right. Who knows.
