My uncle has two clots in his heart. Docs have concluded he needs to go through angioplasty. Need some prayers or some comforting words about this procedure. My uncle is the one who raised me from when I was a child and put me through college. He is in the Philippines with my aunt. They are both old and I worry how my aunt will be if something bad happens. They are basically my parents and I love them. It kills me that I am here and they are there. I'm fairly new at my job and I can't leave it to go there. What can I do in this situation. I feel helpless. I am their only son. This is killing me.

Call him and tell him how much he's meant to you. Thank him and tell him you love him.

Usually it is pretty uncomplicated, they go in through the thigh, run a tube up to heart area and put in a stent, people I know were pretty ok within a week.

    Good luck to your uncle.

wish you the best during this tough time. There is nothing you can do other than be strong for them. He should significantly benefit from the procedure.

This is a fairly nice video explaining what coronary artery disease is and shows what they will do with the procedure called angioplasty(with or without a stent placement).

explain it to your bosses and go, if that's what your heart is telling you. potential regret from not going isn't something you want to risk living the rest of your life with.
