Does anyone else think we should start the season with a 6-0 run?

Juwan Howard is the biggest guy the Magic have. Yao and Cato will dominate against the Magic.

Yes we should. I sure hope we do. Of course, that'll just get my hopes up and I'll be predicting home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs. ;)

Anything less than 16-0 will be unacceptable.

Really though we could see a great change as long as JVG keeps everyone playing smart.

Yao -- who can guard him?

Steve -- great talent, if he smartens up and plays D just imagine.

Cat -- for all of the crap that everyone puts on him he is still the second best guard we have had in the last 15 years. Again if JVG keeps him in line look for good things.

Cato -- started improving last year and it looks like he is serious about it. This is the kind of the tuffness the Rockets have needed fo some time now.

    Jim J, - Pike -- Great pickups

Mo -- in shape and quick, should be his best year as a Rocket.

Boki -- gaining confidence and playing better D.

Mooch -- well at least we have Wilks pushing him.

Braggs, A.G., S.P. -- better than we had

Man boobs -- I can't even think of something positive to say about this one.

Anyway I am looking for a breakout year for the Rockets. Not to sound like Les from last year but I believe this is the most talent the Rockets have ever had on their team.

    :D

If it's not 15-0 or 16-0 it's not really important.

Rockets still hold that record :)

    I'd be happy with 4-2.

Denver played just bad enough to win last night. That was one UGLY game.

If they bring that crap to Houston, I hope the Rox don't play down to the competition and steam roll right over the Nugz.

Ah, I hope you're gonna pull an empiric with this thread title. 6-0 would be getting off on a GREAT foot. Personally, I think it'll be 4-2, with the losses coming at the hands of DEN and NJN.

DavidS - I like that scenario.

I honestly don't see any justification for suggesting we should be favored over New Jersey...the only position where they aren't better than us is center, and even there, if Mourning is healthy, which he apparently is, they have more established reasons to suppose superiority right now than we do....and they are deeper. I just don't see it.

really? Hmmm...Me, I don't think so. Jefferson is a superior defender, superior athlete, much superior rebounder ( 7.0 to 4.2), and shot much better last year ( .501 to .434). Mobley shot much better from outside and the free throw line, and their assists, steals, and turnovers were about the same. And Jefferson is 6-7, 222 while Mobes is 6-4, 210...

And their other sg is Kittles, while with Pike out, ours is...who again?

Points is largely attributable to opportunities; Cat was at wors 3rd and at times 1st option on the team last year, Jefferson was always 4th or 5th. Put it this way...Mobes took 156 more shots than Jefferson...and made 7 of them.
