I know these are minor points, but how do you know those?

If we wanted to keep Bogans, he was restricted... we could've simply matched. I don't see where the evidence is that we had Bogans as a priority over Snyder... was there even a report that we were negotiating with or attempting to re-sign Bogans?

Also, what's the evidence that we prioritized Banks over Spanoulis? Were the Rockets interested in Banks? Absolutely, but it was far from a lock that they could sign Spanoulis. It wouldn't be responsible to not have a contingency plan. Now, whether Banks or Spanoulis was the contingency I'm not sure... but none of us know.

Definitely agree here, rimmy. I hate the thought of Howard being the starting 4 all season, and I don't think he'll be productive coming off the bench behind Battier. Just a gut feeling. Deke looked every bit his age last season, and Yao needs to have his minutes as low as we can realistically keep them, so he can be the best center in the NBA when we need him the most, towards the end of the season and in the playoffs. We've made great moves to reduce Tracy's time on the court. Battier, especially, will be able to replace him and give us solid play at the 3 spot. Snyder, I'm hoping, will be able to contribute there as well, besides rotating with Head at the 2. And maybe we'll be surprised by Novak. I hope so, but he's raw.

We need a 4/5. It'd be wonderful to unload Howard in the process. We could use a better 1 than what we have, but can do well with the committee we have for the spot now. So we need at least one fairly significant move for the 4/5, IMO.

It was vets available, but it takes Dawson at least 2 years before he can get them.

i second the above opinion. the only thing i see that rox will need immediately is the starting 4 and backup for Yao.

howard is not effective at the 4. swift was suppose to be that person. I think gooden would do well paired with Yao at the 4.

now we will need a backup center who is quick and althetic.
