man if you are like me and u have to guard the big fat post guys who sweat like a dolphin or a giant whale...I don't even wanna touch them or box them out at all...but when you gotta guard them their juices make ur whole hands, arms, and body be soaked with their gooey sweat

kinda not as bad as playing against ppl with long as nails tho..some guys jus never heard of hygiene and cutting finger nails....and when they go for steals and reaching ins...man...the scars on my arms are etched-in-stone evidence of that

...only on the forehead, but AB has really smooth skin on the arms.

    sweating is a valuable asset

How do you think Scola creates separation so well?

Very funny thread. Five stars. AB sweating is rare because of two reasons.
His body fat percentage is extremely low. Already dehydrated.
He has a high surface area to volume ratio. A rat is much easier to loss heat than an elephant.

That's taking it a bit far...as much as he runs around he'd sweat regardless or his body would overheat at some point...it's more likely that he just wipes it continously.

there are exceptions or that "scientific explanation" is just off.

Brooks is at one end of the sweating spectrum.

    At the other end...

While those are rational explanations I don't think they hold for human physiology. If Brooks was in a constant state of dehydration he would be in danger of heat stroke every time he plays. While yes it is easier to cool an object with a high surface area to volume ratio humans are constantly generating heat and you still have to get excess heat out the core of the body just relying on the surface area isn't going to cut it during exertion. Consider that even very skinny people like marathon runners will still sweat so its unlikley that Brooks' physique is why he doesn't sweat.

I've never paid close enough attention to brooks skin to see if he's sweating but my guess is that he is but frequently wipes it off. Humans don't sweat the same amount though so he probably doesn't sweat as much as Scola but I'm pretty sure he's sweating.

I think it shows how physically fit he is. The low body fat % says it all. Players like Shaq, T-Mac, Bonzi Wells, and Mike James sweat all the time because they try to stay in shape through the NBA games. On the other hand, Brooks and Yao hardly ever sweat because they practice all the time.

I'm pretty sure at least half of the nba sweats buckets every game, is half the league out of shape, not practicing, and fat?
