MLB investigates some teams with blindfolds on and ear plugs in place. Then spread the word they found nothing while warning all other teams not to do "nothing."
Didn't they also investigate the Astros in 2018? This is how the investigations mostly went before Fiers made MLB take a closer look.
In all fairness, they found a rogue employee with the Red Sox.... that was very well compensated for being a victim of all the societal pressures of MLB.
They paid him off for being the fall guy for a scheme that was no doubt much bigger than what we know about. When he was rehired a year later he was promoted with a bigger salary.
How the f*uck can the red Sox players get away with giving the dude who was suspended money. Wouldn't that be the same as hush money?
Exactly. And what employer fires someone for cause only to rehire them a year later (and not because the employer realized they fired them in error) and give that fired employee a promoted position at a higher salary based on where they were at the time they got fired?
I’m assuming he meant now that the book has been released they can discuss it in full. He just worded it odd.
It all stinks and just further shows the amount of cover up and look the other way that MLB and the commissioner is willing to endure as long as HST is the villain. As with most things like this you usually see time and inquiries produce a documentation of what really went down.
Holy cow, now that Betts was quoted about the Sox cheating the Red Sox and LA fans are losing their **** on FB. Hilarious comments. NOW they’re saying “hey everyone was doing it”. Priceless **** really. Calling Betts a snitch, calling out Joe Kelly, lol
No one cares about the morality aspect, that's why teams don't mind steroid users because the other team had steroid users too. It's the competitive advantage that puts the results into question. Until it is determined that the Astros were not alone in giving real time signals to players, the 2017 title will always be tainted.
