I love Morgan Engsberg. You could see on that second pitch that he was pissed he missed the pitch he was waiting on - then Odalis went right back there and Morgan just smashed it.

I said 'Here comes a double play' just seconds before he grounded into a DP.

When there is a good hitting pitcher, Assmus needs to bat 9th.

In July before today (granted, a short time frame), Ausmus is batting 0.417 with an OPS over 1.000.

no doubt, he's been hitting a ton better of late.

Great job by Gallo and Harville to shut them down the inning after we tied it right back up.

That Backe pitch to Phillips was a huge mistake... but other than that, I thought he looked much better out there than he has the last couple of weeks (including his 1ER effort against the Padres, where he walked half the team). No doubt... Ausmus makes a difference when he pitches.

I went and took a shower knowing my stros would come back from down 5-1. I get out of the shower, 8th inning, and we're tied. :)

It's nice to be able to have some faith in the team when they're down early.

    Time to score here.

    DAMN!!!!!

I hate you Ricky Ledee (one of the more subtle Astro-killers out there... but make no mistake, he is one).

And apparently, the 2 out go ahead run scoring line drive single!  I guess you can't ground into a double play with 2 outs! Props to who else but Mo Berg. Big homer to bring us back into the game, then gets on base to score the go ahead run (and the tag up play was important).

Lidge's slider looks as wicked as it was last year. It had seemed to lose some of its mystique earlier this year, probably because he was pitching hurt.
