Best Documentary Oscar nominated film on Mexican/American Detroit music legend Sixto Rodriguez. Really good doc by the way. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/QL5TffdOQ7g" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
saw it last week. one of the best documentaries i have seen in awhile. im shocked i had never heard of this guy. been listening to his albums on rhapsody...dude is a genius - somewhere b/t dylan and syd barrett. his label boss they interviewed was shady as hell. sounds like he ripped rodriguez off, the way he got so defensive. he took the money from the record sales and kept rodriguez in the dark about his popularity in south africa so that he would not start asking for more $$$. probably ruined his career. if i was him i would have immediately moved to south africa.
OMG. Have to bump this thread due to the sheer amazingness of the documentary. Just incredible, especially if you're any kind of artist at all.
