I'd much rather trade Asik to the East for Ilyasova instead of sending him to New Orleans. A Pelican frontcourt of Asik and Davis within our own division will definitely come back to haunt us
Man I would be so thrilled if we were able to get Ilyasova. He would be perfect next to Dwight. Can knock down the open 3, board, defend, and possibly play at the 5 in the small ball lineup. Hopefully Morey finds another team or two to make it happen.
Read up til page 3, then wanted to post this. Why would the Bucks pull the trigger for Asik when Sanders is going to come back in about a month?
That is why we would involve another team in the deal that really needs a center like the Denver Nuggets who just lost their center to a hairline fracture of his tibia (JaVale McGee) and is out indefinitely. We know what we want from the Bucks (Ersan), we know what we are offering (Omer), we just need to find someone who the Bucks would want. My question is if the Bucks would want Danilo Gallinari and if the Nuggets would be willing to give him up for a defensive anchor of a center in Omer. It checks out okay
I doubt the Nuggets want Asik unless McGee's career is over (and there are no reports suggesting that). Even if McGee is out a couple of months, he's still under an expensive contract for several years. They really don't have much of a choice but to ride with the bet that they took on him.
Ilyasova in our offense would be insane. The guy is money off the pick and pop and his range extends beyond the 3 point line. With the amount of open looks he will get thanks to Dwight and Harden off the pick and pop this guy could be a 20 point scorer for us.
I bet Morey has his eyes on The Alphabet if he's talking to Milwaukee. With Sanders being out injured for the next 6 weeks they are in desperate need of a center so Morey may be able to shake The Alphabet away from them... Asik for The Alphabet and another player (ZaZa or Ice Truck)...
Well last year in 27 minutes of play he averaged 7 reb, 1 steal, 13 pts, while shooting 44% from 3. That translates to 17/9 per 36 minutes. He's a nice player.
If Iran is part of the cryption then it is probably a reference to Kazemi, whose rights are owned by the.....Sixers. Could it be...... Asik for Ilyasova and Hawes? I'm going to keep bringing up Hawes for several reasons. 1. He's a pending free agent. Sixers need to get value for him before he walks. 2. Spencer Hawes makes the Sixers too competitive. They can't lose enough games with him out there. 3. Hawes is the perfect big man compliment to Dwight. He can play behind him and he can also play beside him.
I don't see the Bucks moving Sanders or Henson. That's their front line of the future. I'm a big Ersan fan and I know Morey likes him a lot, but the fact that his contract runs so long (despite being a good value contract ) is something that would likely give Morey pause. Remember, Morey is all about flexibility, and Ersan's long-term deal limits that flexibility.
If the Rockets take on Ilyasova's contract, they need to get the Greek Freak in the deal as compensation.
