Because 74.6% of statistics are made up. LMA only gets once chance to pick one team. For a team, the odds are 0% or 100%. Using numerical statistics to measure one single event that will never happen again is ridiculous.
Your example only works because both shooters can win. Aldridge's FA means only one team could win. One team having better odds of winning means another team has worse odds.
