Thanks Doc, it is hard to stay the course when so many people just don't read situations well, or simply don't want to believe that their hero is a flawed human being.

I give him one chance only, one. If he continues to sulk, I ship him off to the nether regions of the NBA where he can happily go back to averaging 27 points 7 rebounds and 6 assists, and losing in the first round.

Tmac should take a good hard look at Kobe, and how he has changed and is happily running the Lakers triangle system, he finally realizes that if the rest of the team is engaged, he has a better chance of winning.

Look, Houston has had this same issue before with Hakeem, he would not trust his teamates to save his life, constantly attacking triple teams etc....it took an injury and Rudy T to get him to trust his teamates, and as soon as that happened....back to back happened.

Now, I am not saying it will happen with Tmac, that is a hard transition to make, and personally I believe Tracy is more happy with being TMac than he is with winning, but still give him one more chance to get it.

You would think winning 22 in a row last year would have taught him something...guess not.

    DD

    PS...Sounds like Toronto to me.

TMac will have to up his play for all these rumours and half truths to die down. This week and next week will probably determine TMac's fate with the team. If TMac shows improvement on his team play he will stay but if he continues to play like he has been doing of late he will stamp his own ticket out of H-Town.

No Jakes that I can see, but Joakim Noah is in Chicago (a cold, northern climate and in the East) and he was recently fined for detrimental conduct to the team, so he may be up for trade.

I agree, but would Toronto mgmt do that knowing how much the fanbase dislikes him?

The majority of the teams in the eastern conference are in cold weather states.

that's all his fans care about anyway, they don't care about the Rockets or championships. its about stats and dunks and if he had a team like kobe etc.

VERY VERY well put description of TMacs mindset.

In general, this post is quite possibly the best characterization and rationalization of the tmac situation.

I'm looking forward to getting DaDakota's perspective on this whole McGrady scenario/deal.

toronto? i think there are other cold places outside of that, granted that was where he started his career yeah but what does toronto have that the rockets could get in return that would help this team?

jermaine o'neal is just as injured (legitimately too) and he wouldnt be filling a deficiency on this team being a PF/C and as much as I would love to have him as a backup to Yao the price tag is too high.

calderon of course but they arent going to shop him at all

maybe back to NC? i would have probably wanted JRich had he still been there but too late.

whatever it is Tmac needs to get his head on straight or the team needs to ship him out before it completely destroys the entire season

Just curious, do you blame T-Mac for last year's first round exit?

Not that you asked me, but...

I do not, it is a team game, and last year without Yao the team was severely undermanned, and one could argue that Tmac's entire playoff career has been one in which he was undermanned, with the exception of two series...

The one against Dallas where the Rockets were up 2-0 coming home and the first Utah series where the team lost game 7.

Both of those teams should have won, but because of the way the Rockets played, where one player dominated the ball, when it got to crunch time the opponents shut down that player and the rest of the Rockets were not able to pick up the slack.

Now, finally, they have possibly the best most talented team TMac has ever played on, one where he can get his points easily if he just plays within the system.

All he has to do to succeed and get out of that first round, is play as one of the guys, humble himself and play hard, this team is good enough.

That is what I believe he must do, but if he is unwilling, and so far he has not been willing, then for the good of the team, he must be sent packing.

Toronto has a couple pieces that are intriguing such as Bargnani, Kapono, Moon, and Parker.

Also "southern part of North America" might be implying that the destination is outside of the U.S. as well.

There are a heck of a lot of freezing a$$ places with teams. Freezing right now, anyway. Sure, Toronto, but also Chicago, Cleveland, Minnesota, and Detroit. All very cold right now.

    No.
    That was Yao's foot.
But then again, who knows what would have happened.
We faced those guys with home court advantage and a healthy Yao/Tmac and what good did that do.

Tmac played like a warrior for 3 quarters, then gets tired in the 4th. but we love him for playing the 3 quarters so hard.

Yet this crap never happens with Jordan/Drexler. Those guys finish and get even stronger in the 4th quarter. This is something that the Tmac fans never would never understand. Yet they love to compare Tmac to Jordan,Kobe, LeBron, Dwade, Drexler, like they are equals.

I'm tired of him and have been for awhile is the answer, even before this season.

I have a hard time seeing a Toronto (or Milwaukee) trade go down, simply because a T-Mac tantrum and veiled threats to be an unhappy camper would almost certainly doom transactions he's not inclined to go along with. It's the unfortunate way things are these days: star demands out/finds out he's getting shop; star hands front office list of teams he's willing to go to.

If he were expiring this summer, maybe the other team doesn't care. But with a year and a half left?

Not doubting any of the alleged hinted info by DR. But if Morey is talking to Colangelo, McGrady could come along and torpedo the talks very effectively.

McGrady wants to win, but he wants it to come easily and he wants it to happen his way. He doesn't have any intention of participating in a full court fastbreaking offense. He doesn't have any intention of participating in a motion offense. Hey, he does get tired during the games. I'd recommend some Red Bull, but maybe he's like my wife and hates the taste.

He's struggling and acting out because the game's not coming easily to him. The BS knee excuse has dried up now that he's more removed from the procedure than Yao was in the Olympics from his fracture. Can't get around his man like he's used to? Just stick to the shake and chuck from the perimeter. Can't stay in front of his man like he used to? Screw it, just stand up and save the energy for the shake and chuck on the other end.

Teammates, coach, GM, media, and fans giving him crap? Well, screw them too then. Maybe they're the ones that suck - why play for losers that hate? Maybe a BETTER team will appreciate the Mac Attack and finally make a ring possible.

    Ugh.

    Evan
