it has to be the raptors pushing o'neal and i bet morey is trying to get bargnani as well. i could see tmac, chuck, and luther for jo and ab. tmac is done.

plus if all the negativity is true, tmac's bad play has to be b/c he's at odds with rick adelman (and i'm sure that's the primary reason right now).

a change of scenery will be good for tracy and i'm sure he'll regain his stardom on another team b/c he still has all the skills. there's no way he went from averaging 21, 7, 7 6 games back from the rest and then struggle even MORE than before the rest the past 6-7 games. this has to be on purpose as both sides are at odds with one another.

but the team needs to move on. if morey, adelman... did confront tracy, they should just say it. if they're actively looking to trade tracy, there's no way to keep tracy's heart with the team even when the trading deadline passes. i'm sure tracy knows that and he's already packing his bags and waiting for the phone call that he's been traded. i don't know what the reason on playing him anymore.

sit him and notify him when the trade occurs. hopefully both sides get what they want and move on.

I wonder what Larry Bird thinks of McGrady.

A deal for Battier's buddy Thugleavy and either Rasho or Foster+Filler would work salary-wise.

Thugleavy, being more of a shooter (at least judging by last year's numbers) and less of a ball-stopper (and admittedly, less talented) might fit better with Adelman's offense.

Rasho is an expiring contract and a useful big body. Foster has more years left, but can play PF and C. Excellent rebounder and defender.

do you have some sort of personal attachment to mcgrady beyond a normal player-fan relation? "at odds with adelman"? you make it sound like it's a 50-50 fault type of thing.

Funleavy had a fluke year. Next year you will realize it when he finally gets back on the court. Foster is one of those guys this BBS loves. I liked him better the first time when his name was Chuck Hayes and he could pass from the HPost.

i don't care about o'neal too much, but if we do get bargnani, the rockets' pursuit of a shooting big will for sure happily end.

I'd trade him for his cousin VC. I know VC doesn't play D but neither does Mcgrady.

Doc Rocket is no longer an insider like he was before...don't know why you put him in the title. In fact, Doc Rocket was not really a single person. The Rockets used the moniker to leak stuff. Doc Rocket was more than one person, and the new mgmt doesn't agree with using the moniker much anymore starting with JVG, but one of the leakers still uses the password.

So can we please stop this Doc Rocket infatuation.

There was only one real insider here, and that was popeye.

A month or so ago the rumour was the Rockets were open to moving McGrady. Previously he was untouchable like Yao.

is the source chuck hayes? :)

I think our best bet is a healthy Mcgrady and I have yet to hear any trade scenario that wins us a championship. T-mac's passing and scoring is going to be nearly impossible to replicate. I understand that he looks like complete **** but I think we have to stick with him in order to have a shot this season. This team is built around his abilities when he's healthy.

This is all based on the assumption that he's just hurt and not actually a malcontent. If he's causing any problems behind the scenes then you have to ship him out.

It's better for the Rockets to let McGrady stay even with his negative behaviors till next season rather than go for a mediocre but hard working player like Dunleavy who doesn't bring a physical presence and get stuck in the mud for years while other teams keep on passing us.

All I took from that is that Popovich is having Denis Lindsey cause chaos to tear us apart :D
