You tell 'em Doc! <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Doc on Sterling not paying his fine - "Well I'm not paying my 25,000 then."</p>— Dan Woike (@DanWoikeSports) <a href="https://twitter.com/DanWoikeSports/statuses/467181584659918848">May 16, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
What logical fallacy is it? He doesn't define what "great", "play," "don't" or "close" mean. It could be that (1) great teams only come around once in a decade (2) great teams play close games, but only on occasion (3) the greatest teams win by the greatest margins (4) great teams play close games, but they do not end close. Here are the fallacies in your response: (1) straw man: you misrepresent your opponent's position. (2) appeal to the people/common sense/ignorance: you call it ridiculous and a logical fallacy. (3) hasty generalization or inductive fallacy: you assume that because the quote isn't true for all circumstances it is not true in most. (4) fallacy fallacy: you assume that because the argument contains a fallacy its conclusion must be false. (5) missing the point: your argument is valid but you're ignoring the way in which the terms are used. (6) moving the goalpost: demanding that the quote always be true when instead it intended to apply generally
So... what's the return on capital on that $25k Doc spent? If he hadn't of fired up his players and put pressure on the refs, they would have lost by 40, right?
I hope it goes down like this soon! Adam Silver:You want another fine? Doc Rivers: Yes. Adam Silver: You got it! You got another one right there! That's another $25K pal! Chris Paul: Cut it out! Adam Silver: You through? Doc Rivers: Not even close bud! Adam Silver: Good! You got one more fine right there! Doc Rivers: You really think I give a ****? Adam Silver: Another! You through? Adam Silver: How many is that? Cliff Paul: That's $100K including when we first came in and you asked Mr. Silver whether David Stern knew that he raided his closet.
