I've been so against these big name hires from Ty Lue to JVG to Mark Jackson to Jason Kidd. I really think you all are underestimating the value he would bring to this organization. He is one of the most sought after coaches in the NBA and attracts free agents everywhere he goes.

Me too. Between Rivers, Lue, Jackson, Cassell, JVG. I'll pick Rivers. All players respect him.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Tilman hired him. Big name.

I don’t think Doc is the right coach but he’s noticeably better than MDA.

I already said Doc isn’t the right coach. I know it’s popular to be down Rivers right now (and it’s deserved) but he’s clearly a better coach than MDA.

Tilman is a businessman who likes flashy headlines. Rivers is likely the biggest coaching name available. Don’t be surprised if he gets this job.

He thrives coaching scrubs to overachieve but Underachieves with stars and expectation. Harden has 3 years of his prime left not the right guy

Let me rephrase, in my opinion he’s a better coach than MDA. Still, he’s not the right piece either. But Tilman ain’t passing him up if he wants to be here.

I’m not sure why people are trying to convince me that Rivers isn’t the right coach. I agree that he isn’t. What I’m saying is there a Rivers hire wouldn’t be a strictly basketball decision. Have y’all forgotten how Tilman Fertitta operates?

I don't view this as a hire of Doc Rivers over an under the radar hire. This is Doc Rivers instead of another big name. Doc Rivers is the best of the big namers on the market.

You think Tilman would REALLY pass Doc up if he wants the job?

No chance. He's the clear cut best available big name.
