Im the International Operations Director for a US security consulting company. I work in different countries specifically Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. I started part time with the company when I was 18 to work through college, after graduation at 24 I took up a management position in Colombia and began traveling throughout the region. Im 28 now and have been living the majority of my time in South America for the last 5 years. I am thinking about coming back home to Houston however the job market scares me right now. I really miss the states.
This isn't a job Interview... its which person are you in the office. Like so.... Im the recent graduate that is one of 10 or 12 other engineers of around the same age working with many other older engineers and designers. Anyone older than 30 is required to form a gut and the ultimate goal seems to be getting the largest gut in the company. Each year, the employee with the largest gut gets a 15 percent raise.
I'm the only intern at my place, which is pretty small. Not to mention I am their first intern ever! So I pretty much have to please my supervisor (cool guy) and try to work hard almost non stop (occasionally check this and other forums + websites to give my brain a little relaxation). I work from 8-9:50, go to summer class between 10:20 and 12:00 and then return to work and go home at 5:20-ish
at my old job I was the hard worker that just put his head down and worked. Here I'm not sure, there is only 2 of us lol
I'm the pretty married young lady in the office (majority of people are older men). I better enjoy this until i become an old hag and envying the young pretty girl in the office.
