I would not concur Will. Jazz have had a very talented team the last few years - with a great pf and a great pg - and excellent role players. Very similiar to us actually - except he has not had to deal with the injury problems that we have. You take out Yao's and T-mac's injuries the past few years and there's no doubt our playoff outcome would have been difference. Can you honestly say the Jazz would have won last year if we had Yao in the playoffs?
They got NBA's second best PG in Deron Williams, 20-10 all star Boozer, all star Okur and AK47. also they have most efficient role players Brewer, Millsap, Hapring Talent wise, Jazz are perfect, they are better than anyone in the league. They are just cursed.
I agree with all you said... except for talent wise.... we may have had Tmac and Yao... but they had the better team a team that has 4 players score in a playoff game... guys like Ryan Bowen starting...Stromile Swfit or Chuck Hayes (with all due respect to his defensive abilities) did not have more to work with than the Jazz
I hate when some inmature teenager gets on our forum and talks about how great their stupid team team is. We accept Lakerspride cause he actually has some valid points but this is a sacred place where Die Hard Rockets fans come to hang out so get lost and go back to your stupid Spurs forum with Duncan and his Bug eyes and Pops with all his craters in his face from all the coke he snorts. I can't stand the Jazz or the Spurs !!!! Hell I can't even stand the town of San Antonio....It has to be the most boering place to live next to Utah !!!!!! Get ready for FLOP CITY and THROWING ELBOWS tonight cause we are playing the Utah JIZ
You make a valid point CH but I just can't think of being like the Jiz I just can't stand their fans or their players outside D Williams ..... You have to give Sloan his credit cause he is a great coach but all the floppin and elbows throwing through out the years is just uncalled for. What sucks is that T-Mac used to light the Jazz up its just that no one else would !! I hate'em there I said it
I'll agree that Sloan gets more out of less year after year. That being said I disagree that their players are generally likable. Some of them I would like if they weren't on the Jazz, but some of them are very easy to hate. If it were a choice between losing, or being like the Jazz I would route for a lovable bunch of Rockets losers than play like the Jazz.
1) Do I wish the Rockets wore beer cans for uniforms? NO. 2) Do I wish the Rockets played in an arena named after a nuclear waste disposal company? NO. 3) Do I wish the Rockets had fans like the ones in Utah? HELL NO. 4) Do I wish the Rockets were more like the team they beat on the way to championships in 1994 and 1995? NO RESPONSE NEEDED.
You got mostly everything right except that their players are generally likable. I don't know of any team in which I hate a majority of the players, other than the Jazzholes.
What's so fascinating about the Utah Jazz? Oh, yes, they've been a perennial power in the west for most of Sloan's tenure. Their game is very disciplined. They usually over-achieve given the talents they have. They play very physical. And they are mentally tough. They often fight to the last minute on the court no matter what. Most teams don't want to play Jazz in their home court. Oh, and they are a team that epitomizes winning is more important than anything in today's NBA, in fact, they tromp sportsmanship to achieve their goals. Now, what does this remind me? They are like the modern mafia's, or the dark force in the star wars. They are a menace, you have to respect them when you fight them, and you have to be mentally tough in order to defeat them. But you don't aspire to be like them! You don't want to join the dark side, simply because it's powerful.
NO F*** THE UTAH JAZZ. a bunch of annoying little girls flopping all over the d@mn place. i wish never to be like the Utah j*zz, or ever accept a trade from them!!!! bunch of FAGGOTS.
If you mean do I wish we had no NBA championships like Utah? Then no I much prefer Houston's two NBA championships to Utah's none.
