I wear a casio calculator watch. Super super nerdy!! I love it because it's always a conversation piece.

you're right about stopping. but that's about it.

this=douche. thanks for clarifying what the thread is really supposed to be about.

the point wasn't whether or not you can replace the item. it was that most people care about the style/aesthetic of what they wear regardless of its function.

I wasn't arguing against your point. I was pointing out that there is no need for you to come in here with a condescending attitude about people posting their watches. it's cool if you disagree but you don't need to be a douche about it. that's just annoying.

if this is even a valid point then why did you say that you wear your nice watch to job interviews? wearing a watch to an interview may not make or break your chances but it will definitely say something about your personality/punctuality to someone who knows absolutely nothing about you. just like showering, shaving, brushing your teeth, and wearing a nice suit and clean dress shoes will.

    I prefer simplistic timepieces:

    .

well it states what it's about in the title.

right, and that was my point as well.

i think youre just being oversensitive...sorry if what i said struck a cord with you, but really that seems to be something that you have to deal with personally.

I wear it more for traditional purposes...I was always taught to wear one so i do. But honestly, i never thought of it as helping or hurting my status, rather it's just something you do. Like i said before, i'm not even sure a watch at an interview is "important" as it has been in the past...times change.

once again thanks for regulating.
and i think you're just naturally a douche (nothing personal). some people are just like that. you're right. learning to ignore people, like you, is something i have to deal with personally. [/this discussion]
