When you buy new clothes/sheets, do you wash them before you wear/use it?

    Just wondering.

    Sheets, yes.

Clothes, sometimes... though I wash them much more than I did in my college years. (I think there was a period during my junior year when I hated doing laundry and just bought new underwear and shirts.)

I tend to wash both, but I would've guessed more people would've washed their new clothes than washed their new sheets. People may have tried those clothes on and now you're walking around with all those cooties!!!

Most of the time I don't wash new work pants or new shirts. I may spray some water on them and run them through a few minutes in the dryer, though. I will avoid washing work clothes as much as possible because they only have so many wash cycles they can endure before they fade and ruin. If they look clean and smell fine, then I just spray some water on em and throw em in the dryer to freshen them up for the next wearing. I'm sure most people probably do something similar.

Sheets definitely get washed, though, before use for the first time...because I can't stand new sheet smell.

Usually. If I have time to wash them before I need them, than I do.

I usually intend to. But, it happens in practice less and less now. It's not like I'm getting AIDS from the cooties.

I wash clothes as little as possible (aside from boxers & socks). Helps em last.

Yes to both. New clothes are itchy if you don't wash them...

I tend to wash both. Don't like sleeping in stiff sheets or wearing clothes that have that new stiff feeling like I'm wearing cardboard. Anybody one what in talking about?
