    Its a simple question. For this question we will say Yao is to get the Vet Minimum. Would you rather keep him........or do you feel it is time to move on ?

    Not worth a slot on the roster. We've spent the past 2 years trying to get him in playing health and he's yet to perform.

    uh yeah if he's willing to take vet minimum, of course. it's not everyday you get a guy who is 7'6.

    IF he is seemingly healthy at the time the contract is signed and is recovered so that without any further injuries (in theory) he could be ready for the opening game of the season, then yes, he should get the vet minimum. But nothing more than that.

    Every team in the league would take Yao for the vet's minimum.

    Move on omg .. no wonder we cant even make the playoffs.
    We are a rebuilding team with young players, end the YaoMing injury crap!

    not more than the min.

    It usually has a psych effect on the players. It doesn't instill too much confidence when it appears that your team is still invested in a direction that has plunged year after year. If the players know that everything is hanging on them and not on a pipe dream of Yao playing as a starting C again they have that extra drive.

    Moving on is always tough though.

    We got to form contingency plans if a slow and recovering Yao might cause use to lose games at the beginning of the season (no we cannot afford to lose a couple). When you have a 7'6 guy that can pass in the post you got to take advantage.

    Sounds good to me. I still think Yao has a chance (very minuscule, though) to come back and be a decent center in the league.

    Having Yao in the game totally changes the way we play...he hurts the team chemistry with his inconsistency and inability to play as hard as he use to. Unless Yao is close to 100% and able to play good majority of the season he should not be on the team.

    As a back up and and on 2-3 Mil. But if he has any further lower body injuries, its time to call it quits.

    I think it will come down to a business decision.
    When it comes to the bank, Yao brings in a whole lot of overseas money.
    Les will resign him because he will make up for it ten fold.
    Even though they lose on the court Les WINS at the bank.
    Even this season when Yao hardly played, almost every advertisement on the floor at home games is in CHINESE!

    However on the court, one word Yao. Undependable.
    Hopefully Morey and Coach _ dont 'bank' too much on Yao carrying the team.
    Instead they should...
    a) acquire help
    b) develop talent
    c) build for future
    d) all of the above

    Hopefully they let Yao go out with some dignity, instead of going out like an old circus animal.

    I appreciate all the big fella did, but playing 24/7/365 Worldwide ruined his NBA career. Thanks China!
