Let him have his parade - let it be the biggest ever, let him have his missiles and let it be a parade across the country. Let him be part of the parade and while he is doing that maybe he won't mess things up as much.

It should be a monthly event. With HIS military showing off strength to the rest of the world, maybe he can relax and has less of an urge to compensate for his inner weaknesses through twitter or that red button.

crazy how we have several events yearly for actors and stars and no one from the left has any issues... but have an issue when Trump stated that we should celebrate our troops...

We have tons of celebrations for our military and holidays. We don't need a parade to show our military strength. The government doesn't fund those shows.

Yes, Yes, you are crazy, because those things have nothing at all in common.

Why do you think the response from retired military officers has been so harsh? Do they like Hollywood more than our* troops? Or do they just hate parades?

*remembering again that this would have nothing to do with actual soldiers and everything to do with Trump's ego trying to make his dick look bigger.

The only real reasons to be against this are that

    1. It's a stupid waste of money.

    2. It's a pain in the ass for the actual military members who have to do this BS instead of either getting to enjoy their weekend or spend that time doing something productive like training (which also can be a pain in the ass, but a productive pain in the ass)

Why do you want Trump to have his own parade so badly? He didn't win a championship even.

I have an idea for colonel bonespurs, if he respects the military so much, why doesn't he skip a round or two of gulf and visit the troops. Over a year has passed and no troop visits.

Hey vets!, quit you're moaning about your shitty post military health and healthcare you got your own day on the calendar! Stop being so ungrateful!

Real talk, if we want to respect our military and it's members, remove them from those godforsaken shitholes that we have no business being in all over the world and bring them "home." Parades, anthems, holidays, etc... are all superficial fake ass bullshit that don't do **** for current military and vets.

easy to be key board warrior and not know two ***** about who I am and what I do for a living...Instead of being a ignorant fck, perhaps you shouldnt make assumptions about anyone. Because it more than clear that you talk from your a$$ than you do from your mouth as a poster on this forum.

Things done tastefully, can have a positive impact for our country... Trump stated that he was inspired by the Bastille day celebrations that primarily had soliders. The opposition folks on this board are incredibly predictable...

I don't think a president should have their own parade. This is something people like Kim Jong does and it's very self-serving.

If Trump wants to play Kim Jong and have a parade to celebrate himself, he should pay for it himself, not use our tax dollars.

Perhaps we should ask back from Iran those Tax dollars your so concerned about... The President has the authority to have a parade...

I am not oblivious to the opposition to the idea, as a one officer said "the French march well, and we kill well..." But things done tastefully could be nice. Of course the cost of anything should be of concern. My point from earlier is that we have numerous parades and crazy celebrations in our nation.

President George H. W. Bush’s military parade to commemorate the end of the Gulf War in June 1991 cost about $12 million, according to a C-Span report that year. That parade would have cost more than $21 million in 2018, after factoring for inflation. - foxnews

Total costs for the Macy's parade average between $11.6 million and $13.4 million - cbsnews

But when Trump suggested it...its very North Korea like...said the same folks that glorified Kim Jung Un's sister during her Olympic appearance. The only reason many of yall are flipping out is because Trump suggested the parade...None of yall wouldve given two ***** if Clinton said it. All of this is quite unhealthy...7 more years of TDS is not a good thing my fellow libs.

No... I do NOT serve as a member of the military, although I actively work in their care...
