"I have a competition in me. I want no one else to succeed. I hate most people."

"Well, if it's in me, it's in you. There are times when I look at people and I see nothing worth liking. I want to earn enough money that I can get away from everyone."

If I am honest with myself, I do feel this way sometimes...

There is ALWAYS someone out there BETTER than you. There is always someone WORSE than you.

We can only measure it by who has the most access to material goods. But 10 artists in a museum discussing issues about world culture, when their car breaks down they won't know ANYTHING how to fix it. The actual building they're in, its probably less intelligent and less "sophisticated" people that BUILT it. Something those artists and theorists will NEVER know how to do.

I always say whats the qualifier of someone considering themselves a special person? Its just that they really really REALLY think they are...thats all.

Even this thread is a random sample of people. Some will be confident, some won't, some will think they're a blessing to the world. Without waiting on a committee to anoint them that honor. Just how it is.

Illusory superiority is a cognitive bias that causes people to overestimate their positive qualities and abilities and to underestimate their negative qualities, relative to others. This is evident in a variety of areas including intelligence, performance on tasks or tests and the possession of desirable characteristics or personality traits. It is one of many positive illusions relating to the self, and is a phenomenon studied in social psychology.

Maybe everybody looks down on you not because they think they are better than you but because they are better than you.

I mean, really...did you read what you wrote in the OP?

My old debate coach said that she had taught multiple versions of every student she had at the time and will ever have in the future. I asked her how many of me and she said something along the lines of "too many". So, no, I don't think I am unique. I do think I am awesome and totally wicked smart.

I look down at and judge the vast majority of people I encounter. Not because I am so cool, but just because I am a bad person and can't help myself. And I suppose I was raised that way as well. I keep my mean judgmental-ness on a superficial and silly level, though, so that the caricature does not get in the way of true empathy when the situation calls for it. For me I can live with it because I turn the same (although deeper) criticism on myself on a daily basis. So if I have to put up with it, you can be damn sure the rest of the world will have to as well.
