I hope Scola can develop into a On-Court energizer but the way Manu does for the Spurs, Manu doesn´t only Score, or have a steal, all the team feel the energy and at the end the ball goes to first to Ginobili, second to Duncan and Parker becomes a spot up shooter. I do think in the future once Scola is given the trust at the end of games he would be able to help us finish those games, in Argentina NT during the preolimpycs he shown to be very clutch, at the Lakers game he tied the game at 80 but after that shot he didn´t get a single shot, the same against the Spurs, he kept us in game, but at the end James and Yao were having the ball all time long.
there is no question that t-mac is the reason why the rockets win. yao can be great at times but he has too many factors limiting him from being great ALL the time. horrible foul calls, stamina, he can't seal off his man all the time, inability to consistently finish strong, has major trouble with fronting defense, inability to put the ball on the floor and face up, and his perimeter shot seems inconsistent even though he has amazing free throw shooting aptitude. you would think he would be able to drain open 15-18 footers in his sleep while in game but it doesn't translate. i think those are the main issues that keep yao from being consistently dominant. t-mac's only limiting factor is health. outside of that i can't really think of any flaws in his game. some people point to his defense, but he can be a lock down defender when needed.
To be honest, i've never considered him capable of being a leader in NBA league.....he just doesn't have that kind of personality and character BY NATURE.....you may argue that people can develop leader personality over time upon demands....but the time it takes to be a self-made leader depends on how far away you are from it and how fast you are approaching in that direction...i just feel like for yao it's still a little bit too far and he seems not to be fast enough to reach it before he declines...well, perhaps wrong impression...
