regardless of the excuse you give for us beating them the last time under van gundy, it was still a win, and a dominant performance by yao at that.

in light of that little fact it's hard to say that winning one game against them with adelman means we've solved them. they are an extremely good team but i think of more importance than the coaching change, we have more pieces equipped to handle their speed.

    No. I meant "one game."

Slick Rick managed to adjust for one game... we'll see what happens from here out to determine if it's been solved...

Let's see how we fare over the course of, say, a seven game series.

I'm sure after being up 2-0 in the playoffs under JVG people were certain we'd solved those match ups as well. But that was just two games.

    See?

Two years is convenient in your argument when including the fact that McGrady missed almost all of the year before last, and I'm pretty sure we weren't at full health in alot of the other matchups.

It's a stupid question. The premises in support for both sides of the argument are stupid to begin with.

Last season Yao & McGrady missed one Suns game and it was the same game. The season before McGrady missed another.

We also have a much better team this year and when we had a team equally as good in '05, we split the season series.

To even raise the argument after one game is preposterous.

well, a great game, but ONE game doesn't mean we are at the same level, look at the record and work hard is what we should do, ;)

We beat the Suns before, didn't we? Yao has had big games against them before, hasn't he?

This was a great win for our confidence. But nothing is "solved". Phoenix will make some adjustments for the next game.

The problem is can we be consistent and play like this every night?
Suns has been doing it effortlessly over the years and it will be their bread and butter style.

we are just trying to find ours.

Suns haven't played too "effortless" in the playoffs. That "run & shoot" system has never won a championship.
