Do you think we should rest T-Mac and Deke?

Now that we have clinched a spot in the Playoffs do you think we should let t-mac sit out to cure his shoulder and let deke sit just cause he is old?

IMO fighting for playoff position is not very palpable, the West this year is so balanced top to bottom that getting a higher seed won't do much. It all depends on match ups and there are a few teams that have the post presence that we can't defend. Even if we move up we will face those teams anyway.

The only benefit is getting HCA vs. the Jazz. Right now we are 5. I feel it is very important if we face the Jazz. However, the Jazz could move up as well to the #3. The West is too unpredictable.

What do you think should happen?

I think we need to get home court...especially if we are playing the Jazz....

As much as i want to rest them, we need to get that HC

i vote no because as much as tmac needs to rest his shoulder, facing the Jazz is definitely better than facing the Spurs or Lakers. I highly doubt the Jazz would move up the standings..

Right now we have home court in the first round of the playoffs. That's well worth having.

Our last few weeks have been a bit rocky, so we probably need to start stringing some solid performances together against some good teams. We've got Phoenix, Denver and Utah coming up, so it'd be great to try and win those and take some sort of edge into the playoffs

So, no. I don't think we should be resting anyone.

Looks to me that other than a few quarters where he ramps up his intensity that he has been "coasting" a bit for a while now. I'm not trying to bash the guy but he certainly isn't shouldering the load or putting out the effort that he was giving last season.

I consider that a good thing as I'm hoping that he is going to have more in the tank for the playoffs and maybe explode on whoever the Rockets draw in the round 1.

    AGREE! WE NEED HOMECOURT.
Its been a 30 game playoff series in the West,
nothing is changed because we made it into the playoffs.
We need to keep playing and get our groove back.

we'll see in the playoffs. i hope he puts up a performance like he did in 04-05. it may not be enough (b/c we don't have yao), but it would be something to behold. best individual playoff performance i've seen in recent memory (outside of lebron's 45-pt explosion v. detroit last yr in game 5)

Hell no, we need to at least TRY and get the 2nd seed. It's our best shot at getting to the 2nd round.

Another vote for NO. If we want any hope of escaping the first round, we NEED the HCA. We're one game up on Utah and we need to finish ahead of Phoenix too. Magic number for both teams is 5 with 5 games remaining.

I think that if we make up a game and tie SA, we'll have the tiebreaker due to conference record. We're 2-2 and have the same conference record but since all remaining games are in conference, if we make up a game it will mean we'll then have a better conference record and thus the tiebreaker. They have games against the Suns, Lakers, and Jazz. Definitely a possibility.

I say no but watching that Hornets maybe are going to be no 1 seed, its not that bad that matchup, but no, I think they have to go for the HC, and stay in 5, so we can play vs Jazz. or moving to no 2 to play against Denver or Dallas.

Having HC against a sub 500 road team is a big plus

We need to win as many games down the stretch as we can...

So I vote no if it means losing games.

Now, it is a little too early. Maybe, for the last two games, they can make decision to rest them or not.
