Do you think we can enter the 2nd round with the current roster?

When we are playing in the playoffs,like YAO ,he would play more time than he play in the regular season. So I think we can beat every team before 2nd round except LAKERS and SPURS!

We beat the Spurs twice on their home floor and ours? Laker's had the refs get Yao out of the game. I don't fear them as much as the young athletic buck-wilds like the Grizz, Sixers. They worry me way more.

 

The playoffs are totally different and the refs are judging games differently from normal season games. Whether we proceed to the second round depends on which team we face. I am not sure this team got the grit
and health to do it. In playoffs, teams like LA, SA and others play out their heart and fight to the end.

 

I feel we have a good chance of making to the playoffs, but I don't think we are strong enough to get past the 1st round.

 

We can past the 1st round only if no trade before the deadline. In the west, only Lakers and Spurs are the consistant teams. So we have great chance to get past the 1st round. I believe.

 

I still can't believe it has come to this. When the season started, almost everyone was excited about our chances. Artest joined the team and gave us a legit 3rd option with tough defense to boot. Yao came back strong from his home Olympics, raring to go. Tmac just lead us from an impressive personal season before when Yao went down.

So thats really adding Artest and Yao(2 all stars) to the team that went into playoffs last year plus a deep bench getting more experienced. Experts were saying we could be contenders with our big 3.

I'm too disappointed in McGrady to think Rockets but I really hope we advance without him and that'll basically be the summary of his career. Absolutely ridiculous and a great reason why I believe NBA contracts should not be guarenteed.

We have more talent than we had last year, Yao is in the middle and we kinda replace Tracy with Ron. Artest is a great player we all know that, and the great thing is he is becomming to be what he used to be.

He looked great Against Nets especially attacking the basket. Hopefully his ankle will only improve.

The only requirment for this is-------let tmac sit on the bench or out.

 

Think about it, last year the Rockets lost in 6 games to the Jazz and obviously this year's team without T-mac is better then last year's without Yao. Now we have back-up's for Tracy's position and we know how Artest too so it's hard to think that this team is worse then last years. I think the Rockets have a good shot at 2nd round if the rest of the team stays healthy.

 

Given health, yes. The squad we saw last night has chemistry and looked fantastic. Even Ron plays reasonably well within this group. I see no reason not to ride out this hand, unless there's a fantastic deal to be had or Artest really did cross an unforgivable line behind closed doors.

 

If we face the nuggets or portland and tmac does not try and pull a gilbert arenas and limp around the playoffs I think we have avery good chance to beat any of those 2 teams.

Really I think we can make it to the wcf if play the spurs in the second round. Im not scared of san antonio when we play at our best with no tmac, we can beat them even though they may be better then us on paper.
