If you think so that's fine, my point is kareem abdul jabbar owns wilt chamberlain each and every time they were matched up together, it might be a fact that chamberlain is nearing the end of his carreer and kareem was perhaps the best center to ever play the game, wilt never had to face players the likes of kareem in his time.

Uhhhh... that's like saying "Kobe owned Pippen." Or how about "Shaq owned Robert Parish?" Individual matchups when a guy is about to retire mean nothing.

It's already been said, but there was only year of Rockets' championship where Jordan was not in the league.

If Jordan wasn't in shape, that's Jordan's fault, and not the Rockets. He doesn't get a pass because he wasn't in shape. That's just silly.

It's like saying would the Rockets have won in '87 had there not been injuries to Sampson and drug suspensions?

The answer is that it doesn't matter because it didn't go down that way.

Also it's already been noted that MJ scored 55 in his return against a tough NY Knicks team which were the defending eastern conference champions and prided themselves on defense.

The question should be, do you believe the Rockets would have won the championship the ONE year that Jordan wasn't in the league when they won.

If you only say that championships rings are the measure to see who is better, then randy brown, is better than: barkely, malone, stockton, reggie miller??

The cahampionships rings are not everything.

I think Russell and Chamberlain were better than Jordan

Also see the second part of my sig ;)

Oscar Robertson average a triple-double for an entire season, thats something.

Rules were changed (like goal tending) because Wilt had advantage above others. Thats an impact in the league.

Wilt averaged 50 points in a season

I didn't say rings are the only thing that matters, but you have to award winning. And yes Wilt avg 50 points in a season and MJ still has a higher career ppg avg. than him.

    Hi.

    I am the thread starter.

    Jordan is my ultimate god.

You are all delusional if you think Hakeem would own the Bulls.

Who cares what Bob Costas said about him quite possibly being the greatest player in the modern NBA era, even considering Jordan.

He is merely a great, emmy winning sports journalist and broadcaster that never witnessed them playing in person. Oh, wait... well yes he did.

But again, I am the thread starter, so I am right.

    You are all just fanboys.

    LOL!!11!!!!

    You are wrong.

And that's the consensus of the poll you posted.

Yes they would win. Luc Longley couldn't hold Dream (Jordan said it himself) and Mad Max would give MJ fits.

From the poll, I now know why MJ retired during those two years. The Rox team wrere going to beat him if he did not. MJ was so clever so that he avoided defeat in the NBA finals! :D

If you poll 10 greatest NBA players ever played on this site, 5 would come out of players ever played for Rox and Dream would be the number one.
