Jordan was on the '94-'95 Bulls, at full strength and speed. His full-speed just wasn't quick enough to keep up with Penny Hardaway.

Jordan only played 17 games that regular season.. and he was not at full-strength and speed. He was not injured, but he was also not in game shape. His PPG were below what he scored both the years before and after that season, and his shooting percentage was a full 10% below what he averaged for his career that year. No way he was at full-strength.. if you want to believe he was, I probably won't and can't change your mind, but he wasn't.

Mj was way Overrated! the league let him get away with everything beacuse of marketing.

Magic was way better. He could play all five positions in an all star level. His basketball IQ was much higher.

and Dream was the Greatest of them all- especially from 93-97.

Even Pippen (the w****) said it that every year the rockets owned them and how they always wished they would not face them in the finals.

Jordan had said that mad Max was the best at guarding him, that says a lot when that ego maniac admits to it.

If not for the sonics, and the "bear hug" in 98. the Rox would have had 4 championships.

No to me he wouldn't, becasue he has a right to think that. But my point is that they ask him who do you think is the greatest player to pick up a basketball and he said without even thinking twice MJ. They didn't ask him do you think you better than MJ, they ask him whos the greatest. Magic could have said anybody.

And it would be kind of hard to see that happen.

No one is saying that that was Mike's best year, but the man was still an amazing player at the time..........they almost took the Magic to 7 games if not for collapsing down the stretch in Game 6..........the biggest reason why they didn't win that season was because their team "as a whole" wasn't the best in the NBA.......they were lacking at the PF position

If you really believe that the Dream was better than MJ and Magic. I have to believe that you don't know much about basketball. Dream was great but MJ and Magic is in a class of their own.

Oh yea LOL..... at MJ being over-rated.

they also benefitted from the expansion teams in the league that season......72 games was a remarkable feat that may never be topped again, but it's foolish to call them the greatest team of all time just because they won the most regular season games of all time.........

    I quote myself:

"To say Jordan is overrated is crazy?" Yeah, right. Somehow, ESPN rates Jordan as not only the #1 athlete of the century in any sport (*cough* WiltChamberlain *cough* JimThorpe *cough*), but the #1 COLLEGE basketball player ever. Even though it was James Worthy who carried NC to its only title. What about, I dunno... JABBAR? MARAVICH?

    "Not overrated." Right.

Tell me what Jordan ever won without Pippen in his prime AND an all-star PF.

Is this true? If so, they have removed any relevance that I ever thought they had. Jordan probably deserved his Naismith award, but not by much. Ralph Sampson had won the three before him. Carmelo Anthony was a better college player than Michael Jordan.

You know, you're right. Championships are the only measure of how good a player is. It has nothing to do with how good the competition is, or how many HOFers you have on your team with you.

Russell has 11. Jordan has 6. Russell wins. Discussion over.

So glad we could reach an understanding.

you do not personally know me and my knowledge of basketball. However, I refuse to get into the childish name calling, and taunts that has be come too common in this forum- and possibly the reason that i do not seen the names of earlier members.

You are entitled to your opinion, as i am to mine.

I do stand by mine though.

I'll say this if I had a team full of mediocre players I'd take Hakeem, Magic, Bird, Robertson, Wilt, Kareem, Shaq and maybe a few others over Jordan...........M.J. was a "scorer" mainly, and nothing is wrong with that (he won 6 titles and is arguably one of the greatest if not the greatest player ever), but it can be a problem when you are the sole dependent on making others around you better......I've always thought that if you switch M.J. out for Hakeem in '94 that I don't see how that team is winning a title.......Pippen's biggest contribution to those Bulls teams was not only his scoring and defense, but his ability to run the offense.....Paxson, Armstrong, Jordan and Harper were never true PG, so that is why Pippen was sooooooo valuable to those Bulls teams.

That's because no one could effectively stop jordan, it's not a question of who's guarding him. That excuse wears thin, bulls deserved their 2nd 3peat, that was the best team in nba history period, and i think the break was good for Jordan and the bulls, so technically i will go with what it was, rockets with 2 championship, no point assuming it would have been any different with or without jordan.

I disagree (I think the Lakers in the 80's were much more talented and deeper), but why do you say that? (just wondering not trying to stop up an argument)
