    MAD MAX OWNED MJ

    Who would have guarded Hakeem?

excellent point. The game is about matchups and it is possible the Bulls would not have played well against Rockets in the playoffs. We will never know.

The Rockets are the only team in the NBA that Jordan has a sub .500 record against

Yes the Rockets would have still won their championships. After their third championship, Horace Grant signed with Orlando so the front line was weaker. In 95 when the Rockets won their second championship, the Bulls front line was still weak and that's why they lost to Shaq and the Orlando Magic. The next year was when they got Rodman and started dominating again.

Right... This game works both ways. If we never had to face Seattle (and their illegal defense) in the early 90s, would Jordan even have the first 3-peat? We matched up well against the Bulls.

Look, Jordan was a great player, but it's still a team game. The Bulls had no answer for Dream, but we had an answer for MJ... we called him Mad Max.

I like Jordan, but I get sick of the over-the-top, god-like perception people have of him. It's like Shaq and the 'most dominant ever' crap.

There's NO WAY the Rockets win the last two championships if Mike James never left the team. What a ridiculous question!

I think the Knicks would have at least pushed the Bulls to 7 games in 1997 had they not been absolutely decimated by suspensions from that bench-clearing brawl against the Heat (notice they went on to beat Miami like four straight years in the playoffs afterward).

If MJ played in 94 we would have 1 less ring. Mad Max this ... Mad Max that.... Bottom line is Jordan would've broken our hearts.

Mike always step his game up in the playoffs. And that 5-1 record was in the season.

I do believe we would've beaten the Bulls in 97 had we have gotten past the Jazz though.

    Probably one title, or none.

There was no match for Dream, that's for sure. But were there a match for MJ? MJ could pour 40 points a game for the whole series, if he was really pissed off, something that no one can countered and something that not even Dream can do.

Whoever thinks we couldn't have won or that Maxwell didn't defend Jordan as well as anyone isn't old enough or isn't intelligent enough to even remember those championship years. Maxwell didn't stop Jordan but he sure as f*** contained him. Olajuwon would have went through their big men with ease.

Dream almost did that against DAVID ROBINSON. The Bulls had nobody up front.

The best Jordan could hope for would be to offset Hakeem's scoring.

Ironically, I think Pippen would be a bigger factor in a Rockets-Bulls series.

Yes, it is easy enough to motivate him. Just tell him: You will loose. And he will prove you wrong.

During the two seasons Bulls played against Jazz for titles, I think regular season records between the two teams favors Jazz. (could be wrong, but this is what I remember, as I watch NBA games a lot more back then).

Just a gut feeling. Hakeem was still at the top of his game, Barkley would've been a load for Rodman and I like the way Clyde would've matched up against MJ.
