Now you know that wasn't Jordan at his best. He came back in the middle of the season. You know what happen the next year don't you. They swept the Majic and beat Seattle who swept the Rockets. Where's your beef now?

The answer, and the poll results, still is "yes," and "yes."

In 96, chicago and houston were two very different teams:

Chicago didnt have a lot of players including rodman and he was a very important part of the championships, why chicago didnt win in 95, because they didnt have a good PF, first with Horace Grant and then with Rodman, in the playoffs they didnt play against any good center, when they did (shaq) they lost.

Houston didnt have Vernon and a lot of players they had in 94 or 95, so your point is not valid.

have you been to spain for the running of the bulls? maybe you go there and wear your red bulls jersey and instead of running away, run toward them.

    it would be cool.

Do you think MJ would have won if Magic, Kareem, and the Showtime were still playing for LA?

Do you think you would have been a billionaire if you invest in all the right stocks all the time?

    Do you think ...

OMG. Can we give this a rest already?

    david rocket,
why are you arguing with someone who knows nothing about basketball?
he doesn't know anything about the bulls or rockets. but if you ask him about michael jordan's hanes underwear, i'm sure he can tell you the details .

    OMG...

    This is INSANITY.

Just look at the tapes from 92-96. Explain to me how Jordan's team would be able to handle such a beast that is Dream?

And in 95, the Rockets were SO FREAKIN AWESOME, Bulls would have been DEAD in 6.

Sometimes, you just have to give credit to the fact that the 95 team is one for the ages (in my opinion). What they did and to fight off adversity the way they did...the clutch wins...Dream doing his thing...the chants of MVP. The chants of defense from the Summit. Middle of summer. Sitting on the edge of your seat and wondering if you are going to pass out as you nibble on the nubs of your finger.

Dream vs Malone. Dream vs Barkley. Dream vs Robinson. Dream vs Shaq...

The voice of Marv Alberts screaming "OLAJUWON..WITH A SPECTACULAR MOVE...AND THE FOUL!"

The voice of Bill Worrell screaming "OLAJUWON...HAS DAVID ROBINSON BANBOOZELED!"

Man, I get goosebumps just thinking back to that time. It was truly a special, special time in my life as a Rocket fan.

Jordan wouldn't have a chance against the Dream title wave!

    Almu,

let me give you a hint. back in the day, people who joined Clutchfans were dedicated Rocket fans. Nowadays, they are band wagoners and Chicago transplants. they don't know a thing about the Rockets.

there's got a be Rockets fans test and those who do not defend the Rockets against other teams get dropped.

I mean, I rather hang out with Jazz and Laker fans than these fake fans.

It had nothing to do with no PF. MJ was not in top physical condition. That 96 team was better than 94 and 95 team. They just ran into Seattle who was beaten by the Bulls.

It has everything to do with no PF. During the championship years, the bulls had subpar centers. They compensated by having strong power forwards (horace grant & dennis rodman).

in 94 & 95, the bulls had both a subpar center and subpar power forward. thats why the rockets would've won.

if you dont think this is an important difference, can you name any championship teams that didnt have either an all-star caliber pf or an all-star caliber center?

Ha, I know. They like to pretend that MJ wasn't the same in those playoffs, when the stats show that he was the same. Drives me nuts

I love the rockets and will always be a fan. The problem with this board is that when you disagree with something concerning the Rockets, the you're not a fan label comes out. Which is ridiculous. If a team is better than the rockets I'm going to say it. That's just my opionion. I'm still trying to figure out how you think Vernon Maxwell would've stop MJ in the finals. Dumars couldn't stop him and he was his toughest defender. You also need to throw in that the bulls wouldn't had the home court advantage. Game over bulls win.

And you really think the 3 headed monster would have stood a chance against Hakeem? Not even Shaq or Ewing could contain him

Dumars didn't have the best player ever patrolling the paint behind him.

I hate these type of questions. Would MJ even still be considered the greatest if the Shaq/Kobe Lakers were around at that time? Even better, what if Dream and Glide got to play 5,6,7 seasons together? You just can't do what if's!
