Anyone remember how last season there was a group of posters passionately expressing how it was a huge mistake that we weren’t trading for Ben Simmons and how he would 100% flourish on our team?

 

Next year is where we REALLY need it because we don't have our own first round pick.

 

I was willing to give it a shot since we are rebuilding anyways, but I definitely was against trading for Simmons when we were talking about swapping Harden. That would have been a stupid move and we all knew it besides a few select posters. Simmons would have been a great tank commander.

 

Never understood what those folks were thinking. Ben started on a rebuilding team and was never a good leader, didn't improve his game, was deathly afraid to shoot, basically had a mental breakdown in the playoffs, and had even more personal distractions than Harden did. How was he going to come to Houston and basically lead our rebuilding effort? He had more red flags than China.

 

I ran the Tankathon sim one time today. We got the first pick via BKN and 30th via MIL.

It’s such a fragile team, that it is totally plausible.

Kyrie gonna Kyrie. If they had just bit the bullet and jettisoned everything they could have rebuilt quicker and perhaps damaged our picks A LITTLE. Now they are tanking the very assets that were supposed to land them something. When they jettison them midseason/offseason the value is shot taking on bad contracts. Ben Simmons no D untradable, Kyrie no D still flashy O with all screws loose. KD putting up the stats on O and ole on D. No D period. Its a train wreck that I only watch because we have an interest. At least watching the Rockets has a future. There is no future with that crapshow of a team. Straight up KD and Kyrie putting up 70+ and it is IRRELEVANT.

 

I love all of this so much. We gon' be rich.

 

My hope is that Kyrie tweets back at this and reminds Tsai about his supports towards an authoritarian regime.
