Since he failed this team consistently, It basically would have better opportunity to hire anyone who haven't been proved failed before because there is only upside ahead.

Morey failing???!!!! Please, you haven't been paying attention. Superstars just aren't as smart as they use to be. This team has been primed and ready for a superstar since he's been here. So much so that they have had success where they should not have had it. Morey has kept this team ready the whole time.
Now i do agree that it is time to change strategies and try and draft a superstar. He came close with future all-star Parsons at #38 in last years draft. I also have a feeling that the experience that D-Mo is getting now will translate beautifully to the NBA.

For me, Morey is the best asset the Rockets have at this moment. One of the most brilliant and best GMs in the league without a doubt, and with experience only is gonna improve. Give him time.

We may as well give him another year. He has done enough damage already. Maybe, just maybe, he will be smart enough to hang onto Goran Dragic ... but I doubt it. Morey is the high mogul of mediocrity.

    Hilarity

Poster claims GM might be smart enough to retain mediocre PG.

Poster calls GM mogul of mediocrity.

Poster fails to realize having mediocre players leads to mediocre team.

He has some ****ups like the Gay trade, Linsanity let go, TWill

But he has really been winning almost every trade other than those blunders.

My gripe with Morey isn't with his mistakes, because he makes very little but the directionless approach he has the with the team that hasn't been making us better than a 9th seed.

Unfortunately I say yes.. but there are many more to blame besides Morey alone.

Dawson did execute the trade with Gay.... DM was an assistant... so give him a pass there....

Twill is the mistake, Linsanity is half half

Moneyball doesn't win championships. Fire the man. We need a star player that makes everyone around him better. Right now that player isn't on the Houston Rockets.

Add the broken relationships with good players. Martin was a pretty solid player before we decided to put him in the doghouse over his reaction to being called an asset.

I didn't attend a single game this year. Attendance is down so apparently I'm not the only one. It's time for a change.

Yep and for the last few years, always one of the highest payers of luxury tax. Kind of the opposite of moneyball.

They used moneyball to fill out the roster since they were maxed out with Dirk and Terry, etc. Look it up. They also had the guy from 82 games

This thread reveals who bases their opinions on their knowledge of 2k12 and who understands the concept, if not the meaning, of the word "counterfactual."

Judging from his talk lately of doing the same things next year? I have to learn towards yes now. He has to be replaced if he follows through with another boring plan to be in 9th place with role players again. Les Alexander has to fire him in order to drum up some fan support and excitement back. Frankly those fans not showing up do not believe in the product or tactics he is using out there on the court to find a Championship roster.

By the way? All those fans not voting to fire him? Just are not showing up to watch or talk about the Rockets anymore. You can see it be the empty stadium and less talk lately on this team.
