If anything, Dallas will be throwing games to avoid us. The Rockets are better than Dallas.

It looks very possible that Seattle will be the number 4 seed, the way both they and Mavs are playing. But pick your poison: we can beat either team, but even though we will dominate the paint with Seattle, they will play Yao much more physically down there. Dallas has more weapons, but Yao might have less wear and tear for the 2nd round.

And for the record, the Spurs are a complete team: they can carry a game with Duncan alone, or as we have seen, with Ginobli and Parker. As for Phoenix, if we can take out their back court, Amare would be toothless.

First two games were our losses to dallas. we were a different team. it wasnt until game three and four that we had "the machine."

This team is completely different then the one that lost twice to the mavericks. The Machine is 2-o against the mavs.

Why do you think so highly of the MAVS? yes the have talent and yes they have Dirk, but so what.

Seriously, forget about the fact that you're a Rockets fan for a second and just look at this OBJECTIVELY.

The BLAZERS' commentary on league pass last night said I quote "NO ONE WANTS TO MEET HOUSTON IN THE FIRST ROUND"

And I have to say that I AGREE WITH THAT. Houston is a VERY VERY good ball club. The only reason the ROCKETS are underdogs is because of the simple fact that they didn't come out of the gates blazing at the beginning of the season.

Houston is a TOTALLY different team now and aside from the SPURS, I can say this with shear OBJECTIVITY and CONFIDENCE that the ROCKETS are the second best team in the LEAGUE (yes even better than the HEAT)

The ROCKETS defense is UNPARALLEL........so with all that being said, if the ROCKETS don't make it far into the playoffs, it's only because of themselves, not because the MAVS or any other team for that matter are better than them.

Even Dallas has a better record eventually, Seattle will never be number 4 seed if they win the Northwest Division.

Not possible....Seattle will automatically get one of the top 3 seeds by winning their division.

I don't think "so highly" of the Mavs or anything, I just think they are a solid team and I AM looking at this objectively.

Honestly? I think the best teams in the league are as follow:

    1) Spurs
    2) Heat
    3) Mavs
    4) Rockets
    5) Pistons

That is how I rank them.

Oh, BTW, thanks for repeating your reply twice for me, because I didn't see it the first time:p

That's interesting that you would rank the MAVS higher than the Rockets. The Mavs will NEVER EVER EVER win a championship.

Not to mention that I just flat out don't like the team...and I really don't respect them to be honest. Something about Finley that just makes me lose respect and dislike the team.

The Spurs I have utmost respect for.....they're a great team and they do it the right way. Same goes for the Pistons.

This is my opinion of the Mavs:

    1) They are a team built for the regular season...and THAT"S ALL FOLKS

    2) They are an all offensive-minded team........Defense is what matters in the playoffs.

    3) They think they are SO GOOD and that just annoys me.....because they are not. I really think they are really lucky. Unfortunately they have the consistency of the past few seasons to make my point look dull but I just don't respect that team at all and I do not think they will EVER go far.

    WHat do you think?

Most good things in life happen by accident. Try to avoid the #5 seed because you're afraid of Dallas, and you'll end up as the #6 seed playing Dallas. Tank your way out of the Mavs' bracket, and you'll tank your way into the Spurs' bracket. You can't know how the rest of the league will turn out. Play your game, and maybe even a couple of surprises among the other teams will go your way.

Now, if on the final day, we know exactly who we'll play in each round if we win or lose, and tanking helps, then by all means tank.
