Do you think James Comey should be fired?

I heard this from Trump. Trump supporter believe everything he said without much thought.

Do you do computer? A week? Once they had the set of emails, they can do a quick compare to their original set in minutes. Apparently almost all of them were duplicates. So maybe a more valid question is why it took them so long?

 

They obviously never heard of computer databases before. It took them a week because they probably had to go through the files that were not duplicate using man power.

 

There's always a job for him at Giuliani Security & Safety.
He will not work for Ms. Clinton.

 

Actually I think he will resign after the new president is in power, does not matter if Trump or Clinton wins.

 

I'd guess this is what happens. President Obama won't fire him and might even publicly support him leading up to Inauguration Day. He'll likely resign sometime after Jan. 20.

 

This. I'm sympathetic to Comey because I think he was trying to do the right thing in a difficult situation. I don't think he was trying to impact the election. But, that there was an FBI investigation means he will impact it. The choice to not recommend charges in July changed the election as much as the November surprise. But, even with no malice, I think he should be fired. One, I don't think he was savvy enough to navigate the political minefield. Two, he doesn't seem to have good control over his own department. Three, I think the embarrassment of the last week compromises his credibility within the FBI and in DC to the point that it'll be an enduring handicap for the agency. Nothing against Comey, it's just time. I'm sure he has a lucrative career ahead of him, regardless.

And, I think Obama should do the dirty work and not leave it to Trump or Clinton. If Trump or Clinton (or Congress) does it, it'll be another big political story that will encumber the next administration. Obama can spare them that by cleaning house before he goes and leaving his successor a vacancy they can fill as they see fit.

 

RL and the rest of Trump supporters including some big name "journalists" on Fox News keep showing their stupidity. They apparently have never heard of computer.
