I agree. He didn't have his ID when they arrested him. As I stated before, unless they have been following him and knew who he was, they lied about the reason why they arrested him.

I think you missed the part where I said I agree. But if you didn’t, then read on... I understand that you don’t care about lying since you have defended trump very often and have shown no concerns about his constant lies, and thus it not surprising that pointing out a possible lie means little to you. Lies matter. A person or organization that lies often cannot be trusted and should not be in government. One day, we’ll hold people and org to a high standard and we’ll get back to that norm.

We should reopen this poll. ICE/DHS/DNI were established after 9-11. Considering that ICE is the modern day Gestapo, a filler filled sociopath who shoots dogs in gravel pits "leads" a lawless DHS when not grifting off the public, and a Russian agent/cult member leads DNI, we may want to abolish all of the above?
Current events under the new administration have unleashed an expanded ICE force that's crossed basic lines. Legitimate police don't wear masks, don't target teenagers on streets, don't harass tourists, and don't go after mothers dropping kids at school. Without any transparency, we never know - in a few months or years, we might come to find out these were modern Nazi tactics. Masked agents conducting mass roundups. ICE made over 32,000 arrests in just 50 days with 5,000 federal agents doing weekly raids. Congress needs to step up next term and restrict this power while forcing transparency and accountability before another POTUS gets the chance to abuse it.
As the summer wears on, ICE will increase their provocative/illegal actions and protests will become better planned and populated. It's a dynamic that will inevitably result in real violence soon enough. I bet we soon see ICE "leaks" about planned raids so they can have a large protest group to confront. We can easily anticipate the mis/dis-info that will be spewed about "Democrat cities are burning" and "immigrants running wild." I also suspect there are folks in the White House itching for these opportunities to crack down harder or even declare martial law. How we respond to that moment will be a key test for this country. An unnecessary test, but a test we have enabled.
What's funny about this is they're right about the declining birth rate. One of the best fixes is immigration. China for example is entering the find out stage for keeping it minimal. I do think they should be required to learn the language though.

This is going to get out of hand fast. I know there are people that want that, but none of them ever cracked open a history book or have even a vague understanding of the forces being played with here. Worse, they imagine themselves as the beneficiaries of the violence that's coming.
