I heard tupac once say: The idea snitching is uncool in the black community because black people are so street-wise and hard is a fallacy, started by criminal-minded people who want carte blanche to run ruthless on a community. Now maybe tupac was conflicted because he hated police too, but I think that the guy understood that the idea of somebody protecting a community was a fantasy, since he came across so many dirty cops, but I still believe that he wished that there would be this ideal kind of situation.
I've been falsely snitched on before by some lowlife POS. Never found out who it was, dude almost ruined my life for something he (I'm sure it's a he) could only speculate about. Boy was he wrong. I tried to find out who he was but everyone was so intent on hiding his identity. Maybe because I threatened I would do everything in my power to legally ruin his and his family's life (he probably has a kid). With that said, I generally don't snitch. I snitch on my brothers and sisters on the regular growing up though :grin:.
The reason snitching is looked down on in the black community is because the person that is doing the snitching is usually doing dirt and is only snitching to get themselves out of trouble. As for the question. I would not snitch on something as small as a kid stealing a snicker bar.
See, I would. If a kid doesn't learn at a young age that stealing is wrong or that you can get away with it, there is a good chance he'll continue to do it until it is too late (adulthood).
Well that type of situation just has to do with my personality. If I don't know you I will keep to myself.

If it is something major, I'd tell the offender plus the victim, plus an authority figure. There will be at least two parties who know about the wrongdoing, and will not be able to contradict stories.
This. They start early with candy, later becomes aggravated robbery. Something needs to be done about these types of crimes, the punishment for this type of stuff is so lenient it amazes me.
Coward is a strong statement. What did that person do to you? By no means am I defending that it is ok to look at child p*rn. That is sickening in my opinion. But you are ok with putting a man in prison who is already living as the maintanence guy at a hotel? Too ruin a guys life who very well may have children or other people depending on him in different ways because he has a sick problem. Your the kind of person that doesn't think too much in to what your doing. It's a sensitive subject with me because I've been falsely accused for something that will always go on my record. Just because your a better off person than him or have better underlying morals gives you the right to decide which direction his life is headed???
