The chili paste im talking about is like an asian brand.. usually found in an asian supermarket its also on this months Complex magazine .. pg. 68 Sambal Oelek .. mix that up with salt.. or if you really want some goood flavor.. add some of that chili paste with a good amount of sugar and fish sauce.. sounds gross but taste good
Yeah that's the same chili paste I've been looking for. I have a BBQ ribs recipe with some Asian influence that calls for it.
It's really simple if you guys just watch food network: Salt is for savory, Sugar is for sweet. It's like eating shrimp scampi (savory) vs coconut shrimp (sweet). Basically, any ingredient can be either savory or sweet depending on how it's seasoned!
Any chefs here? Isn't it standard to mix a pinch of salt w/ chocolate when it's one of the main ingredients? That said, this is the first time I've ever heard of salt on watermelons. For some reason I'm thinking of the Scwheaty Balls sketch on SNL now.
I've never heard of this before... Sounds disgusting. I need the opinion of someone who really loves watermelon...
