Why is this not in the D&D forum?? If there is a more important topic than salting watermelon, I don't know what is... Oh, and HELL no...although, I do love me some chili-lime salt on pineapple...
The only fruit I've ever known people to salt is tomatoes. I despise watermelon (along with all melon) to no end, but adding salt sounds like a recipe for a puke fest.
My dad puts sugar on his tomatoes. He also puts salt on his apples and oranges. I only put salt on soup. Haven't heard of this salt/watermelon combo. That sounds just weird. I think I'm gonna try that next time and report back to the "perfect dump" thread.
agreed, I absolutey hate watermelon. Everyone looks at me like I let out a big fart when I say I don't like watermelon.
WTF? you guys are missing out! salt on watermelon is ***'n awesome. not only do i salt them, i squeeze lime juice all over it. and once the watermelon is gone...i'll slurp up the juice. MMMMMMMM salt on other fruits like oranges and apples as well.
No. I don't salt watermelon. Sounds nasty. And honestly, watermelon tastes just fine without having to add anything.
in our countries, they take green 'mangos' and blend it with chile and salt. I was never a big fan. If god made it sweet, then why alter it?
Make that three of us. I hate all melons. Here though, though don't salt them, they eat it with salty cheese. Bulgarian cheese, being the most common.
actually i just had just watermelon last night and i added lemon and salt to it, the taste is goooooooooooood, ya'll should try it like that.
I've tried it before, and it was decent as far as watermelons go, but I'm not really a watermelon fan so my vote probably doesn't count.
