have to look at the big picture. morey said this would be a special year b/c of the potential lockout next year. the trade exception could help land a great player. have to be patient they have a cupcake schedule up besides the lakers and heat in december

This is silly....Ariza would not help one bit...

The only regret I have is that it took a fair amount of hubris to trade him within the division.

Ariza never fit here...he needed to play with a team that had a clear heirarchy to put him in his place.

a cursory look at the voting: seems like the early members of the board say no, and the 08 and newer guys say yes.

    funny how that happened

I think the reason why everyone's upset is because they trust Daryl Morey. When Morey said Lee was a good player he wanted for years we believed him. After 10 games fans see he's not as advertised. If Morey was more straightforward about the savings then he would still have our trust.

The General Manager says what he is paid to say. Daryl could be gone in four years. Les will be here for a while. I know it's important to support the owner of your favorite franchise, and I support Les, but I feel like the Rockets should keep the fans informed. Other things like the injury status of players should be public as well.

By the way, I think not making the Amare trade was the smart move. The reason the Rockets probably wanted a physical in Houston was to find out if Amare would re-sign with the Rockets if they matched all offers. The Suns said no deal, and who knows if Amare would have bailed.

    franchise killing move.

lee and bud have been absolute zeros. one of those guys had to step up as lowry's been hampered by a bad back. a little more help from the bench and the result of a few games could have been different.

Played better after the Martin, develop chemistry with Martin. I wanted to see what that triple double meant this season. Too bad they got rid of him because of a tiff with Brooks.

How can you blame backups? Not only backups, but late 1st round, and 2nd round backups still on their rookie contracts.

Whoever thought they could play heavy minutes this early should be held responsible.

When you have a good thing going don't kill it. The Rockets should have kept Cassell and Horry.

    This is just unreal.

You guys realize that the Rockets thought so little of Trevor Ariza that they were willing to trade him to a division rival.

They knew they would have to face him 3 or 4 times a year, and were not in the least bit concerned.

You know why? Because they want him to shoot, they saw enough of his sorrry ass the year he was in Houston that they figured ...let's give him to CP3, and when it hits crunch time....leave him open.

Trevor made a name by playing with Kobe.....and that is the kind of role he can fill...5th option on a team that has a superstar player.

In Houston, he was an utter dud.......and the coaches and staff new it and shipped his wrinkly butt right out of town.

Good job.......now if we could only get over the whining about it....

You're forgetting about when he gambles and misses, and gives up a dunk.

Could we have gotten more for him? That's my question. Courtney Lee seems like a very inferior player to Ariza.

NO. Ariza was a headache every night.

Trades I do wish hadn't happened? Landry....Gay (ofcourse I doubt we would have picked him any ways with out the trade...never know though).

    But they happened. Move on.
