you hang out with people you have common interests with. whether it`d be race, ethnicity, religion, class, status, whatever. it`s not racist to hang out with an asian person if you`re asian. the same goes for everybody.

Most of my friends are white; however, two of my closest friends are asian and hispanic, respectively. Like many of said already, it's really just about who shares your similar interests.

Uh oh, didn't ask it in the form of a question -- DRINK!

I don't really hang out with other Iranians either, except for family. I wonder how many of us are like that.

To add, if a society of various cultures live together, there has to be common ground, common goals and activities.
Take language, for instance. If we cannot communicate with each other, we cannot work and grow together. A mass of people shouldn't expect to come live, and refuse to adapt to the majority in basic principles.

This is a bit off topic, but why is 'Hispanic' always brought up with White, Asian, and Black?

Hispanic just means you come from a country that speaks Spanish. I'm White as they come... and Hispanic. I feel like Hispanic has just become a replacement term for the more brown or mestizo people from Central America. Ethnicity, not a race.
