I miss Landry. He complemented Luis so nicely.

"get those thugs outta here. They are bad chemistry for this team"

I can honestly say I miss those 3 guys. Im afraid that none of our current rockets would have the courage to stand up for each other.

Nah, I dont' miss them. I just miss having a winning team. I guess I'll have to be like Tinman and go back and relive the 80's/90's again.

If not for youtube this would be unbearable.

your kidding right? If Ron was here our entire team would have had more confidence and more energy.

Last year, I absolutely thought letting Ron go was the right choice. He's definitely overpaid for what he does now. That being said, I'd almost pay that to bring him back and establish some identity again. I am shocked at how little our team currently appeals to me ... after the last couple of years of pure love for our players, outside of Scola and Lowry right now I'm really not that attached to any of our players.

I really thought I would be a huge Kevin Martin fan, and while I like him and understand what he brings, it's hard to really like a guy that plays for contact and free throws as opposed to just playing the game. I still think he can be a valuable asset as a 3rd option, but that's about it.

I do miss Carl, but I think the trade was still a good one. Martin is a better asset than him, though we are sorely lacking Carl's toughness and 4th quarter play.

Just very disappointed in the way our team is built right now. I hope we can find a tough, likeable star (likely through the draft) to take advantage of all these other pieces we have.

No. I miss having a star player. I miss Tmac before his injury, and I miss Yao before his injury. With Landry and Wafer, we'd still be 3-8 because they are role players.

I sorely miss all 3 of them. I absolutely loved the 08-09 season, just a great and exciting time to be a Rocket's fan. They hustled, had personality/an identity and had that tough reputation that most everyone admired. They played like fire, and were competitive with the best teams.

Yes, this is what nice guys don't understand. To have a team, yes you need cooperation, willingness etc but you also need ferocious competitive fire. Nice guys might be useful, appreciated, and pleasant, but they dont become warriors and leaders

Battier is a manager to calm the plebes.

In competition, which is basically war, you need warriors

Agreed... Captain Steve Jack would fit the mold.

We have the least intimidating team in the NBA, hands down: Martin's a weasel, Brooks is a midget, Shane's boring, old, and washed-up, Scola's a greasy-haired flopper (the guys we always love to hate), Yao's just Yao... a 7'6'' Chinaman with the personality of a doorknob, Lowry's a pudgy flopper with all bark, no bite, and Miller's a stoner. Hill has the potential to be an OG in the paint, but he's dumber than a bag of hammers and seems indifferent.

I miss the guy who took a couple of slugs in the leg on these city streets, a hard-nosed Queensbridge legend groomed on NYC playgrounds, where he witnessed murder. TruWarier had the heart of a lion, and he didn't take **** from anyone. Also, the high-flying, volatile playmaker with a personality to match... the vonhawk was classic.

Never have I been so disappointed with a Rockets team than this squad of underachieving, heartless chumps...

Landry, yes. The other two are knuckleheads or mental cases, so, no.
