In the last two weeks of my driving vacation, I've been listening to the history of Howard while he's on vacation. He returns, Monday. I wasn't a big fan for the longest time, and didn't really know much, but about 8 yrs ago my Rockets Season-ticketholder buddie made me start watching him. Still wasn't so sure. While traveling (I just did roughly 4,000 miles of vacation driving in my car since last November), and I live off of Sirius 100, now. He is easily the best interviewer of celebrities and musicians of them all. He is in an era of Howard now where he only does big interviews. And they are lined up, before he retires. What do you think. As Howard would say, "bring it."
i prefer joe rogan by far. a large part of it though is the guests he has are much more interesting. although i can't handle too much UFC talk.
So, we have Buck on the phone from Texas. He says he own cows and doesn't like Talkie People so refuses to vote in our poll. So Buck, do you actually castrate young bulls? Do you like bull balls?
Joe Rogan tried out for the Jackie Chair. He loved being on Howard's show. The lineup of celebs/musicians on Howard are without comparison, especially in his last year or so where everyone knows this is their last chance. But the difference is the interview itself. He gets his guests into a comfortable state to say things no other interviewer can get them too.
Who dat? interviewed JFK Jr in 1996. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Rbyei9K1bsc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Did you like that? There was a big deal about George Magazine and Howard dissing JFK. But John called Howard and asked him to be on his magazine cover. And then showed up for an interview with very little word...because. Howard's the king of interviews.
When I lived in NYC in the early 90's I would listen to him every morning. He's definitely one of the best interviewers out there. He has a way of making his guests feel very comfortable, and thus they open up and are willing to answer questions they'd normally never want to touch.
Some of the folk I categorized as over the top and that I hated more or less no longer bother me as times have changed, Rush Limbaugh Howard Stern Andrew Dice Clay I'm not a fan of any of them, but I think I mis-judged them when I was younger, as all of this over the top stuff is more or less breaking boundaries that didn't really need to exist.
I love listening to Howard's interviews of celebrities. I don't know if anything is off limits. I hate listening to Howard whine when he feels disrespected or insulted. Robin's laugh is also annoying. I can see how people consider him gross with his games, wack pack, and staff (Richard and Sal).
He recently coaxed out of Jada Pinkett Smith that she does indeed engage in anal sex with that perfect ass of hers. That's like the 4th celebrity (so far, all females) he got to say that in my listener experience. Well, he has a small dick and his fahther used to always call him an idiot. So, he has a little poopy on his shoulder? So what? Who doesn't? You'd wouldn't be saying that if she had just once shown us her t***. She'd make us quiver. Don't forget Fartman!
