rhester, you should beseech your congregation to kick up the contributions.

God wants you to have a new car and swimming pool.

Oh Lord, won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz ?
My friends all drive Porsches, I must make amends.
Worked hard all my lifetime, no help from my friends,
So Lord, won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz ?

Oh Lord, won't you buy me a color TV ?
Dialing For Dollars is trying to find me.
I wait for delivery each day until three,
So oh Lord, won't you buy me a color TV ?

Oh Lord, won't you buy me a night on the town ?
I'm counting on you, Lord, please don't let me down.
Prove that you love me and buy the next round,
Oh Lord, won't you buy me a night on the town ?

I work as a firefighter. I absolutely love the job, benefits, work schedule, and culture.. Hate the pay its ridiculous. Concurently I work about 100 hours a week between 3 jobs to make less than 60k. Looking at options in my life and at the older guys I work with I believe that I need to leave this proffesion to ever have a good home life. Pretty much everyone I work with has been divorced multiple times or they are single and have never been married and there older. Bad thing is I'm really good at the job so I would feel bad for leaving. I got a degree in history from U of H to fall back on so I guess I got career decisions to tend to

Oh, arent you cute to think that would accomplish anything other than getting him demoted to tank cleaner.

    You must be very young.

I do many things...none of which pay very well, nor do they offer much to cover me in my old age.

Currently, my main gig is being moe's immediate supervisor, but I dont do that very well since I defer most of the decisions to my immediate boss.

Im trained as a mechanic and a IT geek....neither of which I do for a living.

I think I'm looking at updating my IT training and going for a better gig in that field....I like working from home, but all it takes is for our major client to go down in flames for me to lose that gig.

I loved my previous job before I got laid off.

I was print production manager at one of the largest design firms in Houston.

I did some design, some production and helped the young designers learn to go from making pretty pictures on the computer to getting ink on paper.

Now I do some freelance design and I'm dusting off my rusty web design and production skills... and I look for another job.

Test engineer for the space program.

Definitely wasn't what I had in mind when I was still in college < 3 years ago, but I do like my job a lot. It's not always fun work, and the pay is alright, but the people I work with are great, and I feel like I'm contributing my part to make history. No complaints! :D
