if we don't make a deal tomorrow that makes this deal make sense, i will be beyond angry. bonzi was an important contributor, potentially in the playoffs. now we lose size in a 35 year old player.

Bonzi Wells and Mike James they are all not bad players, we have no change after this trade but the hornets become more powerful, i don't like that. the trade is just to save money

I vote "love it", but really it's more like I'm "okay" with the trade. It's obvious that Morey has run this by Adelman, who must be sure that we're not going to lose much by trading away Bonzi. I trust them in this regards. I like the part where we ditch James' contract. BJax has another year, but at least that's one extra year of salary flexibility in terms of improving the team. I'm not sure about the Rockets' overall salary situation, but freeing up James' salary can come into affect this or next offseason. That said, it kind sucks knowing that we got in trouble in the first place by trading for Mike James in the first place.

Maybe next season, but he is going to get the same money for playing the rest season. Just give me one reason why he wants to play for Rockets not other teams. Just dont tell me he wants to make the history by making father-and-sons all three playing for the same team.
My opinion on it depends on the follow up. If we can get another wing with size to replace Bonzi that provides strong perimeter shooting (e.g. Barry), then I'm all for it. If this is it, then I don't think it helps us much in terms of improving our chance to win. I also hope that the trade doesn't effect our chemistry in a negative way.
