Just realized there is no poll out for the Trade Void.

Last Thursday we voted for the trade this way.

    185 for Yes
    483 for No

Curious to see what the vote is for rescinding that trade

The "Yes" option should read: Yes, I am an idiot or otherwise have not thought this through, or Lithuanian.

Though i suspect the omission is strategic.

I think the trade was kind of a push, no real rip off on any side (late lotto/mid 1st rounder for dmo is about his value).

I'm not happy about the trade being voided because that means Dmo's back is in pretty rough shape. Back and foot problems for athletes is super worrisome.

    Yep.

Good void - Rockets have always benefited from voided deals - Horry, Nene&Pau, it always works out for the best.

    I'm not sure.

I like Dmo, I think his game can/will benefit the Rockets this season. But that pick, could have been very valuable to the the Rockets in the draft or as a trade sweetener. Plus DMo's back injury and the potential for him to be gone this summer... ugh

    A lot of grey area

    I abstain.

Honestly who gives a **** either way.

This season is a waste regardless. That pick would have been worthless like the infamous "Pelicans pick" ended up being. And D-Mo might be done.

This off-season is gonna play out more or less the same anyway.

At least if he is healthy, D-Mo helps make this team fun to watch.

All in all, whatever. What a horrible season.

Hard not to be excited about losing a lottery pick for the right to pay a guy with serious back issues big money or lose him for free this offseason.

DMO not clearing his physical with Detroit, will most likely lead to signing to a lower contract amount in the off-season. Teams are going to be very skeptical to throw big money at a guy with serious health concerns. The only silver lining I could see in this situation, is if he play well the rest of the year for the Rockets, and they have a chance to sign him to a reasonable deal.

It makes me very afraid that DMo will never be back to his old self

Almost got a mid first rounder for a guy who has played 14 games in almost a year.

No, obviously no. This team stinks, this season sucks. At least the pick represented some hope. Brokeback DMo and chucker Thornton do not.

LOFs just moved to the next team, actually thinking they'd prefer Lin in LA.

One could expect DOFs to be upset with a void, because a failed physical will hurt DMo's negotiations this year, as well as his chances to make the Olympic Team. I doubt they actually care about the Rockets.

What an ignorant thing to say. Lithuanians are cheering for DMo, what good does it give us to be happy about DMo not passing physical? You think we need DMo to play in Houston for some reason? We couldn't care less where he plays, as long he's healthy and plays in the NBA.

Serious question: With this bad medical news, are you worried about his ability to help the Lithuanian Olympic Team this summer. Don't they have to select the team by like July 10th or something.

Has there been any talk about the Olympic Team at all, yet? Was DMo considered a lock?

I was worried before, now I'm 100% sure he's not going to play in the Olympics. I'm not like most countrymen, I care about DMo 10 times more than about my national team.

    I voted no.

The trade being voided has the highest chance of this ending poorly for everyone involved. Things could still end up being okay, but most likely they won't be.
