Out of touch millionaires have as much right to influence the process as out of touch billionaires. Celebrity influence is overplayed though. They can raise awareness, but they can't point a gun to a college kid and force them to vote for issues that do nothing for getting them paid or laid. Well, unless the media or church claims everything is going to hell and that one side are demon worshippers attempting to summon Satan...
thanks for talking about the topic and speaking from your soul your thoughts are as clear as the new city jerseys instead of the old ones
No, it's YOUR agenda. I criticized you for injecting irrelevant pop culture into politics and then you created this thread about pop culture and politics. Dude, don't believe your lying eyes is not actually a good argument.
I didn't start this thread to whine about a previous conversation. That was you know who in his classic style of taking an in thread discussion and then starting a new thread about it to post a bunch of gibberish. Do you GARM at all? If you did, you would know. Anyway, I'm out. I'm sure brainy smurf will be back and gargamel will leave him alone so that the care bears can shine their love on everyone.
it's a poll with a question I thank you for joining the discussion if you actual made a discussion @Os Trigonum you can always start your own thread it's your prerogative you can do what you want to do @RayRay10
@RayRay10 @rocketsjudoka Here's me telling him to calm down and let Clutchfans have their own opinions which either direction they go
It’s up to the potential voter to do work and search out facts and then form an opinion Instead of reading hats or Instagram videos
Entertainment about or influenced by politics is cool. RATM isn't my favorite band, but they're coo. Veep is funny. Darrell Hammond is funny. Dana Carvey as Bush or Rockwell as Bush Jr. - lulz. But I don't like celebrities crossing into the actual political platform, but people seem to vote for them. Celebrity-billionaires-born-into-wealth is definitely the WORST possible nightmare scenario of all bad things. How can people like that relate to regular people? Their perception of reality is skewed.
I’m not sure if I like it or don’t like it. I probably do like it just for the awareness. I don’t like the generalization though - that pop culture figure generally doesn’t know sh*t about issues and shouldn’t talk about it, or the other way around. It’s on a case by case basis. I also don’t like the idea that pop culture figure shouldn’t speak up, especially those that certain organization think isnt deserving or knowledgeable enough to have a said so. Being knowledgeable itself isn’t the right or only criteria to speak up. It, in fact, can be solid ground for someone to be stuck. ThAt doesn’t mean any random idea is good - far from it. Being decent, honest and expressing oneself while is willing to be corrected and learn - that’s as or even more important than prior knowledge.
Our country would be better served without a B-list movie actor or A-list reality TV star as President.
What is regular people now ? Girls want to be Kylie . Jealous of her hot sister forcing her to get facial surgery and implants at 18. So she can date rappers and have their kids. Also she doesn’t really have a job cause she’s rich.
