Used to really like those but started to feel that method takes away surprises.
Like inception was done perfectly with an unexplained endind for instance, it just depends on the writing

My all-time favorite movie, The Empire Strikes Back, didn't have a "true" or "open" ending; but by seeing it, you knew another film would be coming.

I think it's most important that it just has some kind of ending.

Mainly because I always hated The Never Ending Story.

some of my top 10's are:

    ShawShaqRedemption: Ending. Perfect.
    Rocky: Ending. Perfect
    Titanic: Ending. Perfect.
    Star Wars: Ending. Perfect.
To Kill a Mockingbird: Ending. Perfect.

In general, I think audiences seek an and desire a happy ending. Some resolution. There is something to be said for leaving open ends to get an audience to an ending of some sort, but it needs to end. There are I think a few exceptions. But those are a few and far between. They mostly involve Dreaming or Science Fiction.

    Total Recall. Open Ended. Perfect.
    Inception. Open Ended. Perfect.
    Matrix. Open Ended. Perfect.
    2001. Space Odyssey. Perfect.

I feel like Birdman almost cheated. When she looks up that's a conclusive ending to me. The happy ending. I was good with it, but I actually feel the movie itself would have left more to the imagination if she had not looked up.
