I think I've done the same as Christopher, but it doesn't happen very much and I don't think it is ever useful. I just consider it deja vu. Sometimes, I'll realize that I had experienced or dreamed about a situation I'm facing, and then it will happen. Only like 2 or 3 seconds do I know and even then, it takes a sec or so to actually realize it. I remember the last time it happen, I said something and knew exactly what my dad was going to say and what I'd say back. Freaks me out, a bit.

I have experienced the same phenomenon many times. I enjoy my dreams very much, and find that I sometimes realize I am in a dream and can do whatever I want.

i agree with trader jorge, from what i have learned this is lucid dreaming. the ability to identify a dream while dreaming then taking control of the dream itself

    HOOP-T,

I used to do that all of the time. I had a series of those 'chase' dreamd when I was young, and I got tired of them. So I was committed to end them.

Then one chase dream occurred, and I basically took myself out of the starring role and dropped someone else in. I told myself it was a dream, so I changed it to a TV show...just told myself I was watching TV in my dream. I had a few more after that, but I controlled them all. I've told a friend who was having nightmares and she did the same thing.

    Christopher,

Cool. Don't be apologetic. We don't understand alot about existence. Likely, many here have experienced a lot of things that cannot be explained by 'common' sense.

Thats is exactly what happens with me.

Its never usefull. Infact it seems to happen at the most boring times. You walk into the kitchen, a certain show is on TV, someone walks in the room and you just remember everything thats going to happen. As you say, you even know what someone is going to ask you even if it something silly like "Do you know what time it is".

Wow, Im glad Ive found someone that had a similar experience like this. :)

Cohen....I guess the reason for not talking about it is because it sounds to weird. Like I said, Im someone who wouldnt believe it myself.

I guess the thing that help me along is that Im open to any suggestions that may explain what it is.

I would guess that Ive had a dream and my brain is "conneting the dots", however when it happens you remember EVERYTHING.

I have rememberd what someone one the TV was going to say word for word and that if I turn my head a family member will walk in the room and ask me if I want anything from the shops.

It has happened with some bigger stuff, but I think things like that are better kept to myself.

LegendZ3, as someone that loves a bet on sports.....no. Sadly enough it has never happened. But if I get a tip I'll let you know. ;)

If only I could dream up a Rockets championship! :D

HOOP-T, go rent "Waking Life," directed by Richard Linklater. It's *exactly* what you're talking about.

"The trick is to combine your waking rational abilities with the infinite possibilities of your dreams. Because, if you can do that, you can do anything."

Excellent movie, if you like philosophical navel-gazing and existential musings. If you don't like that stuff, it'll be excruciating. Good luck! :)

IIRC, I believe there was a thread a couple of months ago talking about deja vu and stuff like this. I want to say several people had experienced it. I figured they would post here. Maybe they just find out how to make it useful and are now flying across the world in their super jet while we've been seeing the future of stupid things still.:)
